The Tin Woman

Description

Seo Juhyun is often dubbed many things which included "robot", "creature", "thing", "alien", and sometimes, even the occasional harsh "". Being a freshman in high school along with hundreds of judgmental teenagers didn't help the situation either.

Im Yoona, on the other hand, juggles many things in her life like being a student while working as an actress at the same time. She is liked and disliked because of her success and popularity in the media, unlike Juhyun who is probably hated by the majority of students in the school and maybe even some teachers; all because of the way she talks.

Meeting someone who would understand was the last thing on their minds. But when they do, Yoona drops everything and Seohyun's there to catch them.

"She speaks accurately, pointedly with what she needs -not what she wants- and her voice resounds robotically. Yet when she sings along with the faint melody of the key notes from the piano beneath her slender, dancing fingers, this girl they called a 'thing' has a heart." -Im Y.A

M.V.P-Melonhead V. Productions/Philosophy is back with the two adorable maknaes of SNSD.

Let me start off first of all with a giant thanks to my subscribers who have taken the time to sub and comment and motivate me to write. I never imagined that I'd have over 100 subs...It's mindblowing. Thank you so much for your support.

It's almost the end of 2012, just over a month to go, and it's Thanksgiving! I'd like to have a new Yoonhyun centric story up by then to celebrate our little cute couple.

Now I know it's a bit crazy to have yet another story up when I have three other fics I should be working on, but the formatting and the way I write has changed compared to back then and I'll be trying out a new type of writing; one that suits me more and it easier for readers to access. It'll be clean and won't be so messy as my other stories have been. No worries to the readers of my other fics, let's just say I've been working very hard. hint hint.

I've been seeing the lack of Yoonhyun stories these days and I'm always wondering 'why though'. With the 4D behavior Seohyun gives off, I would've thought there'll be so many good story about them. Not that I haven't stumbled upon some great works of art, but recently, I've seen nada Yoonhyun. So, to crease my loneliness of lack of Yoonhyun -lol- I've decided to write one myself.

I'd love to see if you guys enjoyed the story with reviews and go on ahead and sub if you'd like to. You readers are the people that keeps me motivated to write even more. Well, hope you enjoy and be sure to tell me your thoughts!

Foreword

/

Seohyun was an Angel, Yoona concluded as she watched the girl beside her curl up in sleep.

Seohyun was everything good in this pleasantly bittersweet world, seemingly lighting up everything in her path with each soft step the younger girl takes, and could melt the hard, cold souls of ones who've been lost for too long into gentle, warm puddles-if only they knew. Not only was Seohyun beautiful herself, her heart is too, like a diamond shining throughout the deepest depths of abandoned hole. Seohyun's perfection was so perfect that her imperfection often showed only to those whom she trusted, which wasn't many people.

Yoona's heart fluttered.

Yoona loved that Seohyun came to her; even when she's wasn't the best kind of person for comfort.

Yoona listened to the steady breathing of Seohyun's soft puffs, the younger girl's chest rising up and down evenly. She stared a the supple lips of Seohyun whose mouth was slightly parted in her sleep and Yoona had to bit her bottom lip to keep herself under control. She looked away and rolled onto her back, facing the white ceiling, her hands clenched into fist next to her sides.

There was a long silence in the room, only the faint sound of Seohyun's breathing beside her. She couldn't even hear herself breathe, if she was even breathing, and outside of the closed door of her bedroom, she heard her step mother and father chatting quietly over breakfast. She didn't bothered to try to listen in as she usually did.

Her parents didn't try to wake her up this time to eat. They both already knew her situation between Seohyun and herself and rather not get involved. It was the pure sense of her parents, even if one wasn't truly her own mother, who had came and replaced her own birth one after a nasty divorce. They left her alone, forcing herself to deal with her own problems that were almost tipping her to the point of insanity. They didn't even want to hear about it; they wouldn't listen.

Should she be grateful? No. The fact that they didn't want to get involved was because they didn't accept of Seohyun.

Yoona closed her eyes to calm herself down after feeling a slight twinge of remorse in her chest, her heart pounding against her ribcage. How is it that her heart can still beat against her with normal paces, but pound so hard that it hurt? She turned to her side, her back facing Seohyun's sleeping figure.

She folded her thin figure into a ball, curling her knees to her hiding face.

There were a lot of things that she couldn't express; sometimes at school she wanted to punch her teachers in the face, but instead smiled polietly to their delight. There were moments where the people who looked up to her annoyed her, since she couldn't understand what they saw in her that was so good. There were situations where she had wanted to just curse out her parents and run away, and never come back. There were times when she'd get frustrated, over studies and acting, and everything.

Yoona wasn't perfect; people should know yet they act like she is.

There was a sudden soft touch on her back spine and there was the monotone whisper of apology placed just below her neckbone. Yoona melted, her body relaxing with just a simple magic touch. The blanket she had tossed away during the night where she barely got any sleep was carefully placed carefully over her thin waist, warmth from another body already absorbed on the cover, and Yoona bit her lip to fight back the urge of turning around and just spilling everything she felt.

The happiness, the sadness, the pain, the sinking feeling of knowing, the confusing feeling of understanding, and the longing feeling of...

Chapter 1: Thanks for all the comments~ Reply time-

yurikoharuhi: Glad to know that you're interested in the story ^^ And oh no, I'm flattered but my vocabulary still has far to go. Hope to be seeing you again next time~

seohyun10: No problem^^ I'll see you again next update hopefully?

yoonpair: Thanks for commenting! I'm very happy to see that you like the way I write. Ah no worries about Yoonhyun. I've got everything planned out. Yoonhyun is on their way~

candyrhl: The first paragraph is for Seohyun and I'd advise you to remember that scene because it plays a little foreshadowing in her past. Oh, your dreams will come true...eventually lol.

bedofnails: A fan of my writing? I'm flattered really but it still has go a loong way to go. The first part of Chapter 1 was for Seohyun and let's just say, it's a hint hint. Yoonhyun is one of my favorites; they're sweet and it's intruging to see how differently they act towards each other. There really isn't many stories about them that are actually revolved around them and it's saddening but hopefully we'll get some in the future.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I hope to see you next time~

Chapter 1: Oh, its official, i m a big fan of your writing. Its intriguing actually.
I love the way you write the setting in details, its soo much easier for me to actually imagine it. Great work. Really, i mean it.

The first part of the chapter definitely caught my attention almost immediately. Whos pov is that? Seo? Wonder what happened though...

Well, i m glad that you decided to write yoonhyun story, because there arent many yoonhyun stories out there, it makes me sad. So thank you for making an effort to add some, haha i m a loyal yoonhyun reader.

Chapter 1: Wow, you've grab my attention with the foreword, and most certainly had me hooked with only the first chapter.

Now I'm very very curious about Seohyun's past, is the first paragraph about her? I somehow got the impression she's a little traumatised, and form the looking of foreword plus how she behave in here, things was probably not very good for her... T_T

Maybe in the next update Yoona would get close to her Seohyun and they can help each other and then live happily ever after? No? Oh well, one can only dream... looking foreward for your next chapter, adios. ^^
