“Sehun.”

“What.”

“You have been wiping that mug for like thirty minutes,” Kai reminds his co-worker for a second time.

“I know Kai,” Sehun speaks as if it’s not a big deal. “I just want to be sure it’s perfectly clean.”

“You said that exactly fifteen minutes ago.”

Sehun gives Kai a bored look. “Can I ask you a favor?”

“What?”

“Get lost.”

Kai is dumbfounded for a second but then a smirk formed on his lips. Instead of leaving Sehun alone, he decides to play with him a little bit more.

“I think I know why you’re so restless recently,” Kai states, leaning forward against the counter.

Sehun decides to ignore him and grabs another mug to wipe.

“Your beautiful girlfriend hasn’t come for days, did you guys break up?”

Sehun puts the mug on the counter a bit harshly. “I told you she is not my girlfriend. So, no, we didn’t break up or anything.”

“Ah! I know!” Kai suddenly claps his hands. “She got a boyfriend huh?”

Sehun clenches his fist and finally looks at Kai in the eyes. Kai gulps, thinking that maybe he should stop here.

“I will wipe the tables!” Kai immediately announces and leaves counter before Sehun could explode at him.  

Sehun is still in the middle of calming himself when the café’s door opened and revealing a customer.

“Well—“ Sehun halts upon seeing the girl behind that customer. “—Come.”

The girl sees him and immediately smiles but Sehun just stares.

“Let’s go Jessica,” the guy holds her hand and takes her to the table near the window.

What the hell. Sehun’s eyes focused at their intertwined hands. She would definitely tell him if she got a boyfriend, right? But how come..

“Sehun.”

“……”

“Sehun!”

He finally snaps out of it and sees Kai right in front of his face. “…what?”

“Their orders duh,” Kai says whilst handing him the notes.

Sehun takes a look at it and frowns. “Cappuccino?” He looks at Kai for confirmation in which Kai only responds with a blank look.

“She never ordered Cappuccino.”

“Well now she does,” Kai states matter-of-factly. “Actually her boyfriend ordered it for her, two cappuccinos with lots of foam and cheesecake because she loves it. That’s what he said.”

“He ordered it for her?? With a lot of foams? The hell was that..” Sehun whispers loudly.

“Um well yeah, like I said he did, but Sehun can you make it fast? They are customers and they are waiting as we speak right now. If you can’t I would ask Kyungsoo to—“

“I’ll make it,” Sehun cuts him off and starts making the Cappuccino.

Kai stands beside Sehun whilst watching him doing his works. It amazes him that Sehun still has his poker face at times like this.

“I’ll bring this to them,” Sehun tells Kai when he finished.

“…you sure?” Kai asks doubtfully. “Are you seriously okay with it?”

Sehun raises his eyebrows. “Why am I not okay?”  

Kai immediately takes back all his empathy towards Sehun. This guy sure needs to learn something today.

“Yeah of course you are fine with it right. She is not you girlfriend or anything, so it should be okay with her having a boyfriend, right? Moreover from now on, she will definitely not bother you anymore because she has someone else she needs to care about. You must be happy you can get away from her.” Kai pats his shoulder and heads to the counter.

A minute passed and Sehun still stands in the same place with a tray in his hands.

Kai glances at him and smirks. “Sehun, they are waiting!” He reminds him.

Sehun briefly loses his composures but immediately regains it. He tries to clear his mind as he walks to their table with two cappuccinos and her favorite cheesecake. He can’t help but thinking that that guy must know her quite well to know that she likes cheesecake. On the other hand, this cappuccino with an especially lots of foam really really bothers him. It kinds of reminds him of that kiss scene from a certain drama. But that guy wouldn’t dare to do that here, right? It’s not like he is a main character in a drama or anything. Though he has a face for it, not that Sehun would admit it anyway.

Before he knows it, he finally arrives in front of them.

“Two cappuccinos and cheesecake?” He repeats their orders in a fake polite manner whilst setting it down on the table.

“You are Sehun right?” The guy asks him, all smiling.

Sehun doesn’t answer and just stare at him.

“Um Sehun, this is LuHan. My friend,” Jessica chimes in.

Friend. Somehow that word makes him feels better. Even for a bit.

“Oh,” Sehun finally utters a word.

Luhan coughs to his hand. “So.. Can you sit with us for a while Sehun? The café seems to not have many customers right now.”

Sehun frowns. “Why?”

“Jessica told me that you’re his childhood friends, so I kinda want to talk to you. You know, to know her better and her close friend too.” Unknowing to him, Luhan and Jessica are observing his reaction but they don’t really find anything interesting from his stoic face. Not that it’s unexpected anyway.

Sehun seems like he thinks about it for a while then looks around cautiously. “Since my manager is not here right now, maybe we can talk about whatever you want to talk about,” he says as he sits down.

“Well, let’s get to the point then. I like Jessica,” Luhan says whilst holding her hand.

Sehun’s eyes widen at the sight. He then looks at Jessica, but she just sits there without saying anything.
