Have you ever wondered how come we were born with two eyes, two ears, two arms, two legs, two lungs but only one heart?
Was it because we're tasked to be committed to finding that one person that we are bound to by the spirits?

Two people, bound together.
Some might call them soulmates, some twin flames while other say that they are bound by an invisible red thread connecting those who are destined to meet, regardless of the time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle but will never break. But here in Notre Dame Catholic University, it is believed that the word soul mate comes from an old legend, a legend that stated that all people were born with four arms and four legs, one head with two faces and four ears and two sets of s, male or female, or both, so that they were any one of three kinds : male-male, male-female and female-female.
One day they offended the gods and to punish them Zeus cut them in half, scattering the two severed halves in opposite directions. Since that day, we are always searching for our other half. When a half meets its other half, each is overcome by Eros and each delights in being with the other. The reason for this is not, or at least not merely, a desire for lust : on the contrary, the soul of each wishes for something it cannot put into words. Lovers desire to live a common life and die a common death, to become ONE again, in a complete and lasting union. The reason for this is our ancient nature : we were once a unified WHOLE. 'Eros' as Aristophanes tells is, "Is the desire and pursuit of wholeness".
But then again, how do we know that we've found the person who was destined for us?
You might have seen them but you had to look down to tie your shoelaces. You might already be besides them but you got distracted and had to turn to look at the traffic lights. You probably already have met them but got intercepted by the sudden traffic rush.
Whether it is meeting the love of your life because you were having the worst morning like a missing the bus, a broken shoe, being stuck in traffic, or losing your phone. . .things that cause your normal hectic routine to force you to slow down and open a door for that person to enter – pushing you to be somewhere at a certain moment in time, in a certain place.
Right there, that is destiny. That is fate.
There are those few lucky people who found the ones destined for them. Some people on the other hand keep on looking and others just gave up. However, the thing that likely pisses everyone else is that you have already found THE one, yet you sadly let it go or didn't fight for it.
A boy and a girl can be just friends, enemies, acquaintances, rivals, strangers and bestfriends. But at one point or another, they'll fall for each other. Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late, or maybe forever.
Funny isn't it? How fate orchestrated the events in people's lives. He likes her, she likes him. Everyone knows, except them.
