Jaejoong scowled at Yunho before turning around to face his best friend, plastering a bright smile so wide that Yunho wondered how his face didn’t crack. Again that annoying feeling in his chest started to act up at this, why did this guy always frown around him and more impotantly why did he care?

“Chun! Let’s go, the air here is bad for you~” Jaejoong laced his words with ill-conceived spite causing his friend to raise his eyebrows at him. Yoochun turned to the building volcano of anger that was Yunho and stuck a hand out, a polite smile and saccharine words dripping from his lips

“I’m Park Yoochun, nice to meet you, Jung Yunho I presume?” Yoochun had seen the young heir around many an official party with a bored look on his face. Yunho smirked and grasped the man’s hand in a strong grip

“Nice to meet you, sorry but I don’t really know who you are though” Yunho commented with feigned innocence, nearby Jaejoong spluttered but Yoochun just smiled wider, his lips now portraying more of a smirk as he hit back

“Well yes that’s to be expected, you’re never really interested in the type of perspicacious conversations I engage in, we run in quite different circles” Yunho’s eyes bulged, did this guy just call him stupid? In his entire life Yunho had always been given everything he desired, people worshipped him and now he had meet two people who were not only indifferent to him but actually dared to insult him. What was wrong with the world?

Jaejoong watched on in amusement as Yoochun patronised Yunho with his eloquent silver tongue, feeling slightly bad for the man. Although he didn’t know why but he couldn’t help but worry about the crushing handshakes both males were still locked in. They strengthened their grips continuously, attempting to break the other but to no avail.

Suddenly their competition was shaken apart by Jaejoong’s interrupting hand. Yunho tensed as the soft pale flesh of his hand brushed across his own, his hand tingled slightly from the touch, a warm feeling flooding him. Jaejoong shoved his own hand in his pocket as he felt a strange tingling feeling surge through it, it was intense and electric and something he had never experienced before.

Yoochun cleared his throat cutting through the sudden awkward atmosphere

“Well we should be going now...” he motioned to Jaejoong who just nodded, preoccupied with his thoughts

“Well I’ll see you later then, since I am gonna be in charge of this project.” Yunho smirked

“Wha-wait what?” Jaejoong snapped out of his thoughts, looking at Yunho, confusion clouding his mind

“Well how do you think you got selected beautiful?” Yunho teased, running his thumb over his bottom lip to emphasise his intention.

Suddenly all the euphoria from his triumph crashed down around Jaejoong, just like his life had crashed down around him countless times before and he was still too helpless to do anything.
