Light
Destiny

Jaejoong carefully wrapped his paintings in layers of tissue and wrappings, handling them gently as though they were precious jewels, because to him they were. He kept a dangerous aura around him, creating a bubble of safety for his work, if anyone had the misfortune to stray too close for his liking they were sent a devastating look that made their inside’s shrivel in fear. His demonic demeanour clashing with his angelic appearance.
Yunho tugged irritably at his tie, the stuffy room and boring professionals suffocating him. He had been forced by his father to come and ‘take an interest in the business’ which he was not happy about. He could have been lounging by a poolside but no, he was stuck with a bunch of boring brown-nosing s who kept trying to be his best friends. On top of that, he found out that the contest had been widely advertised, he groaned in realisation that he’d probably be staring at pieces of crap that people had the audacity to pass off as ‘art’.
And he was correct as always.
One by one a seemingly never-ending parade of every possible type of person walked through the door with their so called art. There was the nervous, stuttering and sweating type, the hippy type, the arrogant type and the downright delusional. Yunho was getting sick and tired, he was about to get up and throw a legendary fit till he set eyes on who walked through the door.
It was like the temperature in the room had spiked to rival that of hell, Yunho ed his collar and leaned back in his chair, eyes watching every moment Jaejoong made like a hunter observing his prey.
Jaejoong strode into the room full of confidence, clad in form fitting black he ignored the people in the room entirely and instead focused on displaying his painting. As he turned and busied himself, Yunho felt a smirk pull at his lips as he appreciated the way his jeans displayed his .
Jaejoong turned to face the room, and to directing his attention to no-one in particular he began;
“The theme stated in the advertisement was ‘light’ and because it can be interpreted in different ways, I’ve got three different paintings inspired by it.” With a flourish he removed the sheet covering his creations and was met by a stunned silence. A satisfied smirk on his face he stood back and watched them admire his work.
As Jaejoong had displayed his work Yunho had been far too preoccupied surveying and appreciating the finer features on his face, that smirk of his was so devilish and Yunho was definitely feeling it. The gasps and muttering from the others sitting beside him drew his attention to the paintings. His eyes widened in surprise as he took in the sight of his art.
It was different.
It was....
He had no words to describe it, it was luring him into the canvas and drawing out emotions he didn’t realise could be prompted by a painting. In particular the painting in the middle captivated him. It was a scene of Seoul, dirty pavements, stragglers and large dirty looking skyscrapers surrounding by dark grey tones were spread across the wide canvas, but what stood out was the bright points of light high in the sky.
The stars were highly emphasised
