Key was in heaven. There was nothing more fun in the world than shopping around NYC. Jonghyun didn’t love the late January weather and was mad they couldn’t be there for New Year’s Eve, but he liked ice skating and running in central park in his free time with some other kids on the trip. Here in the city, Jonghyun had many opportunities to perform and took them all. 

At this point in their trip, after more than a year, Key and Jonghyun had a lot of connections, a lot of friends, and they swore they had never come out to so many people who confessed to them in their lives. For some reason, the two had become known as the Kim Brothers, and were praised like two flower boys from a Manga. They secretly liked being treated like the F4, but also didn’t like seeing the faces of the girls that heard they were gay and had relationships back home. 

Everyone who they had become friends with over time wanted to see their tight-knit family’s pictures. Key felt very proud when people commented how handsome Onew was. Jonghyun as well. When his friends wanted to see pictures of Minho, they all asked the same thing, jokingly of course, but really Minho’s looks were no joke. “You...got a guy like this?!” Jonghyun felt so happy at those moments. However, the two elicited many eye rolls when witnessing people’s reactions to pictures of Taemin. He was their little brother so they weren’t under his cuteness spell, but outsiders didn’t even have to meet him to fall under the spell of the sprout. 

More than anything though, the stories of how Onkey and Jongho got together were the hot topic even when Jonghyun and Key weren’t around. 

By the end of their NYC stay, everyone seemed to know about their love lives. 

They didn’t want to hear about or remember moments with Minho or Onew, they wanted to live them, be there. 

After taking Japan, LA, and NYC by storm, the fantastic Kim Brothers headed home, having had the best experiences of their lives.
