someone unexpected.

Kring… kring… kring…

The bell rang. The first day of exams ended. Yoona got her things up and carry some books by on her right arm. She and her friends went to their locker to leave and get some books there.

“I really don’t know that problem will be going out in our exams and I didn’t even look at it once when I’m scanning my notes.” Suzy complains while putting her books in her locker.

“But, you did get it, right?” Sunny said who was in her right side who was just finished from getting her stuffs.

“Yeah, thanks to my wonderful memory.” Suzy said, finally closing her locker and faced to Yoona, Sunny and Hana.

“Hey Hana, are you not still done there?” Sunny asked her who was in the left side of Yoona, who was trying to find something in there.

“Guys, I think I just lost my… Physics book.” Hana said, still looking for her book in her locker.

“Wait! You let me borrowed it last Saturday, right?” Yoona said at her, and Hana stood up straight and turned to faced her, while wearing her relieved-smile.

“Thank goodness! I thought I just lost it.” Hana said and she finally locked her locker and heaved a relief sigh.

“But… Hana. Umh… I-I think… I just lost it in the coffee shop… last Saturday.” Yoona said guilty, biting her lower lip. “Bianhe.”

Hana hang open, which made her to lean against her locker, looks like her strength gone by just a snap of a finger.

“Do-don’t worry. I’ll find it now. Ok? Just take my Physics book.” Yoona said at her, lending her Physics book to her, while wearing her smile. Hana looked at her confusedly.

“Are-are you… sure?” Hana asked her still looking into her eyes.

“Yes!” Yoona nodded and smile at her. Hana took it from her hand and carry it on her arm.

“I’m going! I’ll just text you later guys, take care!” Yoona said to them and she completely went off.

Yoona went to the coffee shop and asked the on duty waitress if they had found a Physics book on the table which where she was seated last Saturday.

“I’m sorry maam, but as we can remember, we didn’t found any books last Saturday.” The waitress said at her.

“Are you sure? How about… let’s take a look on your cctv cameras here.” Yoona said to them beggingly.

“I’m so sorry maam, but that day our cctv cameras were under repair.” The waitress said to her politely and because of some customer came in, she excused herself from her.

Omo! What should I do? Maybe the book shops were not yet close right now.

Yoona looked onto her wrist watch and it was 4:15PM.

I need to get going, the book shops will be closing at 5PM.

Yoona ran headed to the main gate. But before she could get out from the school, one of the guards blocked her way, and it was the guard who she had been met before when she just admitted to their school.

“Yah! Where are you—Oh! Ms. Lee, where are you going right now?” The guard asked her politely.

“Umh. Ahjusshi I need to go to the book store, ok? So, please let me pass by.” Yoona said at him politely but there was hurry on her voice.

“Wai-wait! Ms. Lee! No one is allowed to get out from the campus during exam days.” The guard said at her, putting some strict tone on his voice.

“But… Can you just let me pass this time? Please?” Yoona begged at the guard, while trying to show some her puppy eyes.

“Eehh… But I’m going to be fired when I will let you pass this time.”The guard said while rubbing the back of his neck.

“Please? I really need to--” Yoona’s word cut when someone talked behind her.

“Yah! Is there any problem here?”

She got shocked and she knows whose voice belong to and that made her heart beat fast, she stiffed from the place where she was standing when she felt that person was walking towards her. The guard who she was talking earlier bowed to someone who was behind her.

“Umh. Nothing sir.” The guard responded him in a polite manner.

“Ow. Okay. So… I’m going.” The person said with a little hesitation on his voice. When Yoona heard it, she turned to look that person; she wants to confirm if that voice really belongs to someone she knew. But when she turned around, she got surprised because that person was still standing on his place, waiting her to face him.

“Yoona? Wh-why are you here?”

“Yo-yonghwa.” Finally, Yoona uttered the name of the person who was behind her earlier; she really knows the voice of Yonghwa. Maybe even if she has amnesia, she could really recognize his voice and that’s how Yonghwa really affect her.

“I-I just need to go somewhere.” Yoona said with a soft voice yet Yonghwa could clearly hear her enough.

“Aaahh. Where?” Yonghwa asked her still looking at her.

“Umh. To the… to the book store?” Yoona responded nervously which made Yonghwa to let go a unbelievable smile at her.

“Ya-yah! Why are you smiling?” Yoona said like she got a little bit offended.

“With a question mark? Do you really want to go to the book store or you just make that as an excuse?” Yonghwa said, still wearing his most calming-yet-teasing-smile and it sounds like he was teasing her. Yoona gave him a deadly glared.

“Yah! I’m telling the truth.” Yoona said and pouted as she was a little bit disappointed.

“Anyway… Im going!” Yoona exclaimed still with her disappointed tone. She passed by at him without even looking at him.

Aiiish! How could I find that damn Physics book like mine? Aiiiish! And now, I just met Yonghwa who I thought my graciously saving angel who could help me but as far as I can see… he was not helping.

Yoona thought and heaved a sigh while walking from him.

“Yah! Maybe… I could help you?” Yonghwa exclaimed from her back.

Yoona got surprised from what she heard and she stopped from walking. She could feel that Yonghwa was walking towards her. So, she shifted her expression to not-so-interested-face and she turned to him. They were a few feet away from each other and they could clearly saw each other’s face.

“With a question mark? Do you really want to help me?” Yoona mocked at him coldly while giving him a glared. Yonghwa smiled from her words.

Oh damn it! Looks like my heart is having a hundred kilometres marathon because my heart is really beating so fast from… from… his smile that I really want to see since the day I stepped my feet on this university. But I should be moving on from you… now. Lee Yoona, you don’t have the time to think that dramatic love story of yours, not now!

“If you’d let me.” Yonghwa responded at her.

Grab the chance! I mean, there’s no space for Lee Yoona’s pride this time, just for the sake of friendship.

“Ehm…” Yoona cleared and looked at him calmly. “Okay, I would.” she said and let go a smile to him.

“So, how could I help you?” Yonghwa asked her.

“I just lost my friend’s book and then, she really needs it that’s way… I decided to go to the bookstore and buy her another book.” Yoona said at him with guilt.

“So… what book do you need?” Yonghwa asked her.

“Physics book. Anyway, it’s not the problem right now because I just lend my book to my friend and I could also buy that book in the next day… but…” Yoona cut her words and she was being hesitant if she could tell to Yonghwa that she really needs to find that book so that she could study for the Physics exam tomorrow.

“But you don’t have the book to study, right?” Yonghwa continued and Yoona looked down and responded by a hesitating nod.

“But I just have only one Physics book. How about let’s just… umh study together?” Yonghwa suggested at her. Yoona got surprised from what she heard.

Did I hear it right? We? Us? Together?

“Umh. I could tell that you really got surprised from my suggestion but… as what you had said, you would let me help you.” Yonghwa said at her, but Yoona looked hesitant about his suggestion.

Yeah, I said that earlier that it was okay but the awkwardness between us studying together, maybe is not so okay with me, not right now.

“I just want to… to start over with you… even just a friend.” Yonghwa added.

Friend? Hell no! For those past two years, I was really in pain thinking about how our so-called perfect relationship broke up with just a snap of your own fingers. BUT… but maybe, he was right, we could just start over being friends and that would be the first step on letting go the memories that we shared as a couple by replacing a full brand new memories of ours being friends.

“Arasso. Friends!” Yoona said, she lend her hand at him, to make a hand shake, indicating that from that day, they would be friends, while wearing a satisfying smile. Yonghwa smiled and he lends his own hand and held Yoona’s hand, and did the hand shake.

“Friend!” Yonghwa said and the two of them let go from each other’s hand.

After that, they went to the school ground. Because they decided that they will be going to do their study session together at the school ground. Yonghwa excused himself because he will just go to his dorm to get the Physic book while Yoona was waiting at him patiently decided to text her friends that she’s okay and found someone who is willing to share his book at her. A few minutes later, Yonghwa arrived, bringing his book and he was seated in front of her.

“Let’s start.” Yonghwa said at her smiling, he started to bring out his notebook and start scanning the pages of the book. Yoona who was in front of him also bring out her notes while looking to the pages where they need to study.

Yoona take glances of Yonghwa who was writing and seriously studying.

It’s really been a long time ago where I could look at him up close. His handsome face that looks manlier than before. I bet his body have well-formed muscles right now, that make most of the girls drool from it plus his charisma and all. And now, I think I’m one of the girls who were drooling over him. Cut it off, Lee Yoona!

Yoona shook her head and bend down her head shifting her sight on her notes. After a few pages that they have done from studying, Yoona put her arm on the table and let her head rest on the top of it. Yoona looked at Yonghwa who was still seriously studying on his notes, still on her position however instead of studying Physics; she was studying Yonghwa’s face.

How did he maintain his handsome looks same as before? In instance… does he has a girlfriend? Tsk! What the hell you care, Lee Yoona! Yeah right, I am his ex-girlfriend so that’s not my business anymore. And I am his friend right now, as in we’re friends! That’s clear!

“Are you done studying my face?” Yonghwa suddenly said but he was still looking at his notes.

“BWOH?” Yoona exclaimed defensively and that made her to sit up straight.

Yonghwa looked up his wrist watch then he completely landed his sight to Yoona.

“Maybe, we should get going, it’s getting darker already.” Yonghwa said at her and looked up the sky which is getting darker already and he turned his sight at her.

“And before your brother could see us.” Yonghwa added but still wearing his calm face, like he understand about their situation which made her to feel something bad, or much more similar to guilt. Yoona looked down.

“Bianhe. I couldn’t… I couldn’t do anything about it.” Yoona said, and right now, she feels guilty about it.

“Ani. it’s not your fault.” Yonghwa said at her, trying to cheer her up. Yonghwa stood up and fixed his things. Yoona also stood up and also fixed her things but she was still feel disappointed and guilty about how she couldn’t do anything about their situation, like they were always hiding behind her brother’s back even though she really don’t want to do it.

“Hey, cheer up!” Yonghwa said at her, cheerfully. She didn’t notice that Yonghwa was already beside her and Yonghwa messed up her hair which made her to faced him and look up him and smiled.

“Better!” Yionghwa said and stop from messing her hair while looking through her eyes and giving her a smile. Yoona looked up and she could see the heart-melting- stare plus the smile that could make girls gone crazy to Yonghwa’s face.
