The boys completed a successful month of makeovers and finalising their positions in their group as K and M, leader still undecided. Due to the long time it took for makeovers, as well as separate rehearsing as 6, due  to all the commotion, it’s been nearly 2 months since the boys of EXO have seen each other

Today is October 7, 2011

Yixing lays silently still on his bed, still deeply asleep as the 5 members of EXO-M pop their heads into his room

“Shall we go?” the maknae of EXO-M, Zitao, whispers to his gege’s

“Let’s go. Wait start singing very loudly so he wakes up” Minseok instructs and the boys nod

Jongdae enters first, Minseok behind him, Lu Han, Zitao and then Wu Fan with the cake for the birthday boy in his arms

“Okay one, two three,-“

A soft sound, as if someone is singing, is coming from somewhere far away as Yixing rolls around in his position. Grumbling while doing so. The boys stop for a bit before Lu Han takes initative and begins singing a bit, more like really, loud

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!”

Yixing now wide awake recognises the boys distinct voices and sits up tiredly, rubbing his eyes for a bit while the boys stay quiet. Now wide awake he eyes the cake in Wu Fan’s arms and his eyes shoot out open

Oh wow I lost track of time. Didn’t even notice my own birthday…

Smiling at his stupidity Jongdae tsks

“Okay now again one, two three,-“

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR YIXING-AH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!”

Yixing smiles at his brothers

“Happy long life to you-“ Lu Han receives a light slap on the head courtesy of Zitao as the boys all laugh together. Something they haven’t done in a while because 1: their tight schedule and 2: missing their other half. Some more than others

“Make a wish” Wu Fan says motioning for Yixing to blow out the candles

Yixing grins before closing his eyes and he sees the angel again

Junmyeon. Kim Junmyeon. That’s my wish

He blows out the candles and hears cheers from everyone before opening his eyes and eying each member affectionately

“Thank you guys so much. Really it means a lot” Yixing says heartily

Jongdae grins a slightly wicked smile “Alright guys next plan! Tackle him!”

Yixing giggles as every member jumps into his bed, Wu Fan placing the cake safely on Yixing’s table, all jumping on Yixing, bodily limbs hanging everywhere. The room is filled with heart felt laughter

“So their busy today?” Yixing asks his manager sadly. Wu Fan watches his friend motionlessly with Minseok. After devouring the cake  and eating Yixing’s faviourite Chinese dishes made by Minseok and Zitao, the boys have entered their own practice room where they have to practice for a full 2 hours before being permitted to spend the rest of the day free due  to the special occasion

“Yes that’s what I was told. Sorry Yixing-ah”

Yixing’s mood has immediately dropped

So I cant see the others today too? Even on my birthday? I cant see Junmyeon…

Jongdae shakes away the guilty feeling as Zitao pats his back, smiling knowingly

“Just you wait gege”

“They were too busy to give me a video call too?” Yixing grunts to himself before flopping onto their couch.

“Come on up birthday boy. Its unhealthy being depressed on your own birthday. Come on were going out” Yixing groans “I don’t wanna” he whines like a little kid

Minseok proceeds to pull Yixing off the couch, landing with a THUD on the floor. “Ouch ya Baozi that hurt” Yixing complains rubbing the sore spot on his

“Then get up already and get ready”

Rolling his eyes Yixing stands up and stalks off to his shared room with Jongdae

At least today. I wanted to see him at least today

“Where are we? Seriously if I trip I’m going to kick someone’s ” Yixing, still complaining, is complaining even more as Wu Fan, Zitao, Lu Han, Minseok and Jongdae lead him around SM building with a secured blindfold over his eyes

“We cant tell you yet gege it’d ruin the surprise!” Zitao comments

They enter somewhere with a lot of light seeping through his blindfold and suddenly the arms around him are gone

Panicking now Yixing complains louder “YA! Where did you all go!”

Not caring anymore about the ‘surprise’ Yixing reaches to the back of his head and unties the blindfold and receives a heart attack

“SURPRISE!”
