“It’s been a while since you’ve come around.  I’ve been watching from a distance.  You’re all grown up now, just like me.  The only difference is that you’ve become popular.  You’re a dancer for this group called f(x).  As for me?  I’m just a random friend, waiting for you to appear again.  A random friend you can’t remember.  Could you remember me if I tried?  Maybe instead of you coming to me, I’ll come to you.  I’ll make you remember because I know that you would be missing me by now.  Amber, I’ll see you soon.”

Amber Josephine Liu.  The one person I could count on.  She was my best friend ever since we were in diapers.  Though we came from totally different families, she was always there.  She found ways to sneak out and be there to hold me.  I knew I could trust her.  We did everything together and I knew there was nothing that could split us apart.  Well.  Almost nothing.

Until one day we fought and she ran off to go home.  Crossing the street was always dangerous here in California, even the small back roads.  We thought nothing of it.  I watched as my friend got tossed in the air by a truck, falling to the ground.

It was blur after that.  When she woke up, she remembered mostly everything about her life.  Everything except me.  That was seven years ago.  The day where I found out that I couldn’t live without my best friend.
