"You have to leave everything behind and choose to join my World..." Ji Yong said as he lead Dara to her room through the window. Dara remained quiet. "I would understand if you choose them." He smiled and turned his back as he stood up on the window. 

 

"Wait. Would you comeback again?" Dara asked.

 

"Of course... I'll comeback." He faced her with a smile and flew away leaving a sparkling dust on the air. "See you, tomorrow!" Dara shouted and immediately closed the window when she heard her mother's footsteps.

 

"Why are you still awake, dear?" 

 

"Nothing mom." Never tell anyone about our World, okay? Dara remembered the statement of her friend. 

 

"Okay, you better sleep now, dear." Her mom kissed her forehead and turned the lights off. "Goodnight mom." She soflty said as her mom went out of the room and she closed her eyes.

"La...la...la...lala..." Dara opened her eyes and saw a boy staring at her face closely while singing. She sat down immediately and rubbed her eyes. "Hey, Ji Yong." She giggled and he started messing around with his sparkling dust as he flew around her room. "C'mon. Let's go..." He held her hand and danced. "Wait. I can't go with you today..." She pulled her hand. "But why not?" He asked.

 

"We will go to the hospital... To my grandpa." She replied.

 

"Hospital? What's that? Is that your grandpa's house?" He asked with curled eyebrows.

 

"Of course not. It's where old or sick people go. They cure people." She explained.

 

"Oh... Do they also use leaves and dust?"

 

"No. They use medicine." Dara shook her head.

 

"Can I come with you?" Ji Yong scattered some dust again around her room.

 

"Just be careful."

They were walking along the hallway of the hospital and people don't see Ji Yong. "You would grow old like them too... And sick." Ji Yong made a sad face. "And we can't play anymore." He added as he crossed his arms. "Well... We could still play while I'm young." Dara smiled. "How about when you grow old? I'll lose a friend... again... as always..." He murmured. "Oh, here's my grandpa's room." Dara opened the door and they went inside. His grandpa was seating on the hospital bed and smiled at her.

 

"I miss you so much!" She climbed up the hopistal bed and kissed her granndfather's cheeks and her grandpa hugged her tighlty. "I miss you more my little grandchild." Ji Yong was just watching at them. Not sure what to feel. If growing old is a happy thing which he would never experience or either a sad ending which he would never feel. But realizing that he would not die, but will lose many people.

 

Ji Yong went infront of Dara's grandfather and blew some dust and he smiled.

After half a year...

"Hey, why are you crying?" Ji Yong asked as he sat beside her. "My grandpa had passed away..." She continued on crying.

"You wouldn't be sad or be old if you come with me." Ji Yong held her shoulder. "I don't want to... I will never leave my family." She replied. "What's with family? You would have the freedom to play, go everywhere, and you will not die if you choose my World." He insisted. 

 

"How could you say that? Have you ever tried having a family?!" Dara shouted. Ji Yong kept quiet and walked away. "I'm sorry if I am being so selfish. Let me carry you back to your house." He offered as he carried her.

"I know that being young forever isn't a very good choice. Seeing everyone vanish, and you, just having all the time to play all day. I just wanted to be with someone who would be like me." He said. "Goodbye, it's nice meeting you. Goodnight." He removed his hat and placed it on his chest as he flew away. "Wa--" Dara looked down as tears rolled down her cheeks.

After 6 years..

"Hey, dear. Happy 18th birthday!" Dara's dad greeted her and hugged her tightly. "Thanks Dad!" She hugged her back. Dara remembered Ji Yong... When he celebrated her birthday and would go in her room and give her some sparkling dust party. But, he was gone. She realized everything what Ji Yong said. Every year that is being added to her age would hurt him. She remebered what her playmate said. Just call for his name and he'll come. 

 

It was already midnight and she went inside her room to change. She saw a note placed on her bed and she opened it, seeing the name surprised her. From Ji Yong.

Happy Birthday! I am so happy for you.

I just wish we could still have a dust party,

play with mud. But, I can remember the people saying

an 18 year old girl is not like an ordinary little girl who

would just play with some silly boy. And should act more like a

woman... or a lady.

And I do not know if you would still allow me to carry you as

we fly away to our World and back again to your room.

I do not know if you would still act the same like when you were young

if you wake up, seeing me mess around inside your room. I am so glad that you

have the age... I would never reach. Leaving my playmate wasn't easy after all.

It's the first time I chose to leave just to not see someone

being sad because of me and leave her family...

If...

 

Dara's tears rolled down her face like what happened with their last meeting. "If what?" She covered her face with her hands as she sat down near her window. She felt someone holding her hand. "If you don't want to come with me in my World... I would come with you to your World..."  Dara looked at Ji Yong. She was happy to see the boy again. Now, their age looked close now. She was as tall as him although still, younger. "How about your World?" She asked.

 

"Promise me, you'll make me remember everything when I become a man..." Ji Yong smiled. "What are you saying?" She asked curiously.

 

"Just promise me... You'll try everything to make me remember. No matter what happens." Ji Yong smiled. "You'll forget everything if you choose our World?" 

 

"When I become real, I do not know my way back to your home. Promise me, you'll find me. Like what I always do when you were still young, okay?" 

 

"I promise. I'll search for you. Everywhere. We'll meet again." Dara kissed his cheeks and he flew away.

That was the last meeting and Dara's still searching. The reason for her to wake up every morning. She didn't knew that Ji Yong has done so much for her when they were still playmates.

After 7 years. . .

Dara was a nurse. The same hospital as her grandfather. "Excuse me, can you go to this room, we have a little girl patient." The doctor told her the room number and she smiled. It was the same room number as her grandfather. She opened the door and saw a cute little girl. "Hello..." She smiled and sat on her hospital bed. The girl reminds her of someone. "You just have to drink your medicine so you could get well, okay?" The girl nodded. 

 

"How are you feeling?" 

 

Dara turned her head and she saw a tall guy... Who looked exactly like Ji Yong. She smiled and stood up. "Ji Yong?" She asked. The guy smiled at her. "Yes?"

 

"Oh, s-sir. Is she your daughter?" She simply asked, mentally blocked.
