"In Hee! Sweetie, you have people who want to adopt you, come here Hun." Miss Lee, the orphanage director call from her office. The speakers around the orphange rang.

In Hee got up from the puzzle she was working on with Chanho. "Noona can I come too I don't want to be alone." Chanho pleaded with puppy eyes "Okay, come with me..." In Hee held out her hand and Chanho held on as if his life depended on it.

In Hee walked down the stairs and toward the Miss Lee's office. She knocked on the door politely and stepped in with Chanho by her side. "you wanted to see me?"

"Yes come in, Why is Chanho here? Nevermind. In Hee, Mr and Mrs Jang have read your papers and have requested to meet you. They want to adopt you. Mr and Mrs Jang, this is In Hee, she is 11 and this is Chanho who is 9 they are close friends."

"In Hee we have heard many thing about you" A man in his mid 30s said 

"Good things I believe." In Hee retorted. She was not keen on an adoption because she has grown up with the orphanage and the children in it and does not intend on leaving Chanho, who was standing watching the conversation unfold in amusement. Mr Jang stared in amazement and Mrs Jang scoffed

"In Hee. Behave." Miss Lee hissed.

"In Hee, we have heard brilliant things about you and are interested in adopting you. We know that you have not been to school these many years and we are willing to put a roof over your head, food on your table and provide you with sufficient education. All we need now is your agreement. What do you say?"

'A home? Food? School?' In Hee thought with a smile. she look down at Chanho and an idea flashed in her head

"I agree." Mr Jang looked hopeful "Won-" "On one condition. Chanho come with me and he gets the same privileges as me"

Mr Jang exchanged glances with his wife. Mrs Jang looked horrified, then Mr Jang turned to In Hee "if that is your condition then Chanho... is welcomed to the family as well."

Chanho's eyes lit up like Christmas light, he turned around and faced In Hee "Noona! We are finally going to have a family" he squealed. He turned to Mr Jang " Thank you! Thank you very much!" In Hee and Chanho bowed at the couple. Mrs Jung turned obviously not liking the thought of two children living under the same roof as her.

"In Hee, Chanho, we need to sign some papers and confirm the adoption, you will be picked up by Mr Jang in two days so get packing!" Miss Lee said with a grin that screamed 'Finally getting rid of you two.'

8 years later

In Hee POV

'God I can't stand that , just because appa left her doesn't mean she can screw up Chanho and my life. Seriously appa was right in leaving her... she is nuts'

"CHANHO! WHERE'S BREAKFAST? I am pretty sure I instructed you to cook before I woke up" mother hissed. 

"Don't bother him, he is getting ready for school." my voice sounding monotone. I'm just glad Chanho isn't here or else she would be finding a useless reason to get mad at him. "Noona!" Oops spoke too soon.

"Noona we have to go to school." Chanho yelled sliding down the staircase railing. I quickly grabbed the box of cereal and milk and put it all in a bowl, peeling a banana after and slicing it in to the cereal. "Here umma, bon appetit!" I placed it in front of her and jogged to the couch picked up my bag and and jacket ran out the door with Chanho trailing me. "Kim In Hee! Come back here!" umma screamed after Chanho closed the door. It was snowing.

The walk from the house to school is about 20 minutes but because we pick up Jae Hyun oppa on the way we take 25-30 minutes depends if he is waiting for us at the gate or we actually have to pull him out of bed... Literally. Lucky for us he was waiting for us in front of the gate with his 'oh-so-y' look and stance. 

"Hyung! Jae Hyun Hyung!" Chanho ran up to Jae Hyun oppa. Jae Hyun's attention changes to us and a smile grows on his face while a blush grows on mine. "Hey Chanho" Jae Hyun ruffled Chanho's hair. Chanho pouted "Yah! your messing up my hair, I spent 5 minutes on it. You and Noona are the same, you guys should elope." I blushed harder. "'Yah?' did you just say 'Yah' to me? I'm your hyung here. Hey In Hee." Jae Hyun reached over and gave me a bear hug... It was something we did whenever we met. "Hey." I mumbled into his chest. "So, should we elope?" Jae Hyun asked when he broke the hug, I turned 3 deeper shades of red.

"Umm, we are going to be late if we continue to stand here. Lego~" I said dismissing the ious topic. 

This was where I felt loved, Jae Hyun, my best friend, by my right and Chanho rambling about his weekend on my left. This is where all my worries and doubts in life escape me... if only I knew that my life would turn completely upside down soon.
