Description

Sky is an international student from the United States, studying at Kyung Hee University in Seoul. During her time in Korea she discovered the new rookie kpop male group HALO. Even though the group is part of a small company (Music From Korea), Sky has been their fan ever since they debuted in the week she came to Korea and she watched them perform for the first time on Music Bank.

During her last few weeks in Seoul MFK announces that they want to join in on the Hallyu wave which is taking over Asia and slowly the rest of the world as well. But because they are a small company and can’t pay for big promotional activities they are asking the fans of HALO and other groups within the company to come with creative ideas to promote their artists and make them famous all over the world.
Sky, who studies online journalism and marketing, comes up with a rather radical idea. She sends an email to MFK where she offers to write a real-life-blog about her favorite group: HALO. But in order for this blog to be a success, she will need to move into the dormitory so that she can follow them around in their daily life. She also tells MFK that this will most likely cause an enormous scandal but that this is exactly what they need to get HALO out into the world of Hallyu. She will write her blog in English, so that it can be internationally visited and read.
Though not every member in HALO likes the idea, MFK is desperate for publicity so they give Sky the job of her dreams. She will move into the dormitory and write a daily blog about the rising stars, for free. In return, all expenses such as food, clothes, and everything else she needs to live a life amongst HALO will be provided by the company. In order to still harbor some privacy for the members of the band, she will follow one member every week. This way, they will only see her when they are all together, and one week every 8 weeks 24 hours a day.

Sky might have gotten the job of her dreams, but will she survive the harsh world of the kpop industry, the Korean press and of course the life of 8 guys and 1 girl living together as friends and co-workers? And what will happen if she finds out that she likes one of the members a little bit too much? Should she blog about it? Or keep quiet?

Foreword

This is the very first story that I decided to write in English. I have been writing since I was 10 years old (I am 20 now) and have received positive comments from people around me, but that was all in Dutch. I cannot guarantee excellent quality when it comes to my English writing, but the most important thing is that we all have fun, isn't it? ^^.

NOTE:

This story does contain some names and appearances (including voice) that I borrowed from real KPOP groups such as Super Junior and BIG BANG, but the characters are pure fictional. When their names appear in my story, everything they did in their REAL lives and their true personalities are irrelevant.

Though the main story is not about them, this story does contain some Eunhae. In my story they are not part of Super Junior but part of the main band in this story which is called HALO. Their relationship won't be the main story here, but it will exist to some extent.
