They are on their last year in high school, yemi and anna are still inseparable.  As for yonghwa, he turns out to be just

a batch mate. After he was put in the other section, him and anna barely saw each other. Even with that, Anna just

realize something, she really likes him. One thing that bugs her too is that whenever yonghwa and her bumped into

each other in the campus grounds or the corridors he will just nod for acknowledgement. Even when anna wants to

talk to him, he was like avoiding her which she guess made her feelings stronger. She miss him so much. “so what are

your plans after high school? Where did you apply for college?” yemi asked Anna, “ I don’t know yet, I want to pursue

journalism but my parents doesn’t want me to. It was dangerous as they say” anna said munching on her chips. “hey,

stop eating, I told you, you must start losing weight now” yemi said. yemi is bugging anna to lose weight since their

summer vacation during their third year. “I’m not that fat, chubby yes” anna defended herself. “yeah, but you are not

eating healthy right now, and since did you learn to eat those? I thought you despise junk foods” yemi nagged. “aish!

Arasso, there, throw it away, I’ll be on the library if you need me, I have to finish my final paper for Mr. Go” anna

waved and went to the library. There while walking she saw yonghwa again, she didn’t know what was with his

eyes the moment their eyes met, call it delusion but she swear she saw his eyes smile. “yonghwa!” anna’s thoughts

were scattered when she heard sunmi’s voice. She looked at yonghwa who smiled widely, the kind of smile he gave

her the first day they met. She felt a slight thug in her heart. She lowered her gaze and walk straight to the library,

not bothering to look up. “anna” she heard him whispered when she walk passed him. Tears fell from her eyes when

she reached the library. “so this is what heart break feels” she murmured.

After graduation, while Anna is busy looking up for colleges, she received a very tragic news. Her parents died in a

car accident along the highway going to ulsan. Her world crash on her, hopes all gone. Yemi and her parents decided

to take her in for a while while her grandmother is fixing her papers to Canada. During those times, anna didn’t talk

much, her usual bubbly personality was changed. “anna, you are losing a lot of weight. You should eat” yemi said

worriedly. Anna laughed humorless. “before you wanted me to lose weight now you wanted me to gain it?” “anna,

you know what I mean” yemi said. anna smiled to her bestfriend. “I’m gonna miss you” anna hugged yemi. Yemi

smiled trying to fight the tears from falling. In two weeks anna will be flying to Canada to be with her grandmother.

“gonna miss you more, you are the sister I never had.” yemi cant help but to cry after saying that. “ssh, we will still

keep in touch. Promise me you’ll visit me there” anna said pulling away to wipe yemi’s tears. “you should visit me here

too” yemi said. anna smiled. “I’ll try” anna said standing up. “where are you going?” yemi asked. “out, for fresh air”

anna said slipping in her jacket. “want me to tag along?” yemi asked. “nah, I know you are waiting for a call from the

university. I’ll be fine”  anna said and went out. She started strolling on their old neighborhood. She traces the wall

that served as her guide to home when she’s still young. Stopping at their old house, Looking at it, she cried. That

house used to be a very bright, and happy house. But now, it served as a painful token of her youth. She will never got

that happiness again.  starting to be flooded by painful memories she decided to walk away from there, just a few

blocks from their old house she saw two familiar faces standing under the light post. Anna looked at the house, it is

sunmi’s. then it is sunmi and yonghwa standing there. her eyes widen when she saw yonghwa leaned and kissed

sunmi on the lips. With trembling hands and much broken heart she run towards yemi’s house, she can’t be seen by

yonghwa at this state, she can’t hear his concerned voice, she can’t admit her feelings seeing him so happy with

sunmi. “goodbye yonghwa, my first love”
