By the Skin of Our Teeth
Description
Jonghyun is living a hard life in a bad part of the city and his problems only seem to be getting bigger. The other people he meets seem to have as bad, if not worse problems than him. Taemin is a young homeless boy that is almost as bad at taking care of himself as Jonghyun. Time is running out as winter aproaches.
Warning! Jonghyun-centric, mentions of abuse, self-harm, drinking, violence, gangs, and there may be cursing in some chapters (but not much).
Pairings will most likely be Jongho with a side of platonic Jongtae. Might be keytae or taekey, maybe onkey.
Foreword
Jonghyun pulled the drain out of the tub after a few minutes and rubbed his hair dry and slipped into some loose-fitting ripped jeans and an old sweatshirt; then walked down the long hall to his bedroom. The house was almost totally dark Jonghyun wondered if it was just as dark where ever his father was. In his room he grabbed the feather duvet from the bed and tugged it around himself as he walked into the room across from his. The walls were peach colored but in the half-light he was reminded of washed out color of blood in the bathtub. He shook the memories from his head and scooted under the lone bed in the room. It was dark under there and smelt dusty. The duvet formed a weighty cocoon around him that fought off the cold in the house; there was so rarely oil enough to heat the house.
Jonghyun breathed in, and then let it out allowing the pounding in his body fade as sleep overtook him.
