As much as Myungsoo hated waking up early in the morning, he really did not want to be late for their first day of school. He need to find out which class he was placed to this year (he crossed his fingers, held his breath and hoped to be placed in a science class!) but it seemed impossible when his one and only best friend was still up in her room, probably trying to get into her uniform without showering (Myungsoo was used to this— it disgust him at first but he’d rather have Amber smelling like feet than late).

To his surprise, Amber walked out of the apartment’s door quicker than he expected. With a burnt toast hanging between her lips, she desperately attempted to fix her tie — which almost caused Myungsoo to choke on his own saliva.

“Amber, what the hell?!”

Amber took a bite of the burnt toast before holding it, letting her grip on the bedraggled tie go. Myungsoo had always known Amber to lean onto the boyish side ever since she was younger as she never like to keep her hair longer than her shoulder and always, always wear an extra pants under her school skirt but nothing was more absurd than what he was seeing right now.

In front of him was a girl, though her appearance screamed otherwise, wearing a complete uniform of a boy. Amber’s uniform was the same as Myungsoo’s — navy blue blazer, white shirt, dark blue trousers and tie.

Myungsoo had to keep his mouth shut before it could drop to the ground.
