I wasn’t ready for what was about to happen. Two bright lights heading my way as I crossed the sidewalk to fetch the small piece of paper that flew from my hands. Vision blurred from the tears streaming down my face. The sounds of tires screeching against the asphalt and the last sound I heard was the collision of a car against a body…my body.
