Foreword
Characters:
Horikita Maki
- Maki is a tomboyish half-japanese and half-korean girl. Her mother is Korean while her father is Japanese who never returned from his business trip when Maki was 5 yrs. old. Since she grew up without her father, she became the father-like figure for her mother and L. L who she met when her family went to Korea for a month to visit them, just a week before his parents got into an accident. Of course they went back to Japan with L.

L (MyungSoo)
- L is Maki’s mother’s sister’s only child, in other words they’re cousin. When he was 3 yrs. old his parents died in a car accident on their way home after work. From then on, he has been living with Maki and her mother. He used to be a quiet boy who only liked books; however, he got fed up with Maki treating him like a wimp who needs protection, when in reality he is only 3 months younger than her, so he became independent of her but still remains childish and sticks with her.

- Kyung, who is the same age as Maki and L

- Kyung’s best friends since kindergarten
