“Jiyong-ah… I know how much you love her, but if you want her to succeed in this industry you as well as I know that she needs to focus, and having you around is not the best idea for the moment,” my CEO said as he looked at me in the eye, “I’m sorry but I’m gonna have you break up with her, BIG BANG will be starting promotions in Japan, and they are going to debut next year, you can both date later, but right now think about what’s best for the both of you and take my advice.” He stood up from the couch we both had been sitting on and walked to his toy collection that was in front of us. I kept my head lowered as I processed what he had said to me, he was right, we both should be focusing on our work, but how the hell did he know I was dating Chaerin?

“Don’t worry about how I found out, worry about how you’re going to end it without anyone knowing the two of you were a couple.”

“But… why can’t we be together? No one knows about it, only you… so why can’t I be with her?” I ask trying not to sound disrespectful as much as I could, but damn it, I was angry.

I clutched my fist tight when I heard him sigh, “If no one knew, then how come a friend of mine from a tv station called me asking me if the rumors about a BIGBANG member and this mysterious new girl group member being together were true? Huh?” he turned to look at me once more.

I didn’t know what to say for Chae and I, we never told anyone, I never told anyone not even my parents not even my members or friends, no one!  So how come this person knew? Had Chae told the girls? Had she said anything to a friend or family? So many questions, I need to talk to her.

With his last words I stood up, bowed, said goodbye and thanked for the advice, although I really wanted to define his decision, I knew I had no power to it and all I could do was to stay quiet and leave without making a scandal.  

I walked through the YG hallways thinking about what hyung had said and what I should do about it. He was right. Chae and the girls were really busy doing their best on their debut album and a scandal of us being together would make her gain countless of antis in no time. The fame and respect she yarned for as an artist would be brought down in seconds and all her hard work would have been done for nothing.

I know I should leave her but I can’t bring myself to do it. I just can’t. What should I do?

“Oppa, why are you so distracted?” a soft husky voice said to me from behind and that’s when I knew she was standing next to me.

She looked at me with her sweet cat eyes and smiled, “no one is around here so…” and I felt her soft lips against mine for a matter of seconds, before I see her to continue walking down the hallway in the opposite direction of mine with a smile on her face humming some melody I didn’t know.

I keep seeing her walk when I call out to her and say, “Chae, we need to talk”.
