“Please Taeyeon, just for 3 months,” a lady in her mid 40’s begs. Taeyeon looks up from her piano, “But why me Mrs. Kim?” she asks. “That’s because…well,” Ms. Kim rubs her arm, “I…I couldn’t find anyone to you know…”

Taeyeon sighs and pulls her fingers away from the piano keys, “Just for three months?” Ms. Kim nodded enthusiastically, “Just for three months, I promise,” she says and held up three fingers for Taeyeon to see.

 

“How much will I get paid? After all I am still a college student trying to pay my way out of college,” Taeyeon reminds Ms. Kim about her situation at the moment. Ms. Kim reaches into her purse and pulls out her wallet, “I’ll give you 10 million won for now, after the first month I’ll send you another 20, the second another 30, and the last month I’ll triple the last payment, making the last month a 90 million won payment,” Ms. Kim explains.

 

Taeyeon places her hands back on the piano keys and stares at them, “Fine,” she finally answers. “Thank you so much Taeyeon,” Ms. Kim squeals and hugs her. She opens her wallet, pulls out 10 million won in cash and places it on top of the piano, “I’ll see you tomorrow then?”

 

“That’s fine,” Taeyeon answers without looking at Ms. Kim.

 

“12pm sharp?”

 

“I still have class at that time,” Taeyeon says and pulls her hands away from the keys, “Make it 3pm, I should be off by then.”

 

“Alright, 3pm then, see you tomorrow Taeyeon,” Ms. Kim gives Taeyeon one more hug before heading towards the door to leave. She opens the door and stops abruptly as she was about to run into a girl, “I’m sorry,” she apologizes then quickly leaves.

 

“Who was that?” the figure asks as she walks into the room with Taeyeon in it.

 

“Ms. Kim,” Taeyeon answers while counting the money.

 

“Where did you get those money from?” she asks as she leans against the piano.

 

“Ms. Kim,” Taeyeon answers again.

 

“Who is this Ms. Kim? And why does she look so familiar?” she asks, this time walking around the piano, dragging her beautiful finger along with it.

 

“Ms. Kim. The owner of the biggest business in Seoul,” Taeyeon answers as she bundles the money back into a pack.

 

“Oh, the lady with twins?”

 

Taeyeon nods, “Yes Yoona, the lady with twins,” she gets up from the seat and places the money into her bag, “Let’s go get something to eat, I’m starving.”

 

Yoona smiles, “Sure. With the money you just received, make sure you buy me loads of foods unnie,” she jokingly says and hooks her arms with Taeyeon. Taeyeon simply rolls her eyes as the both of them left the music room.

 

 

 

“So does that mean that we’ll get the house to ourselves?” Kai asks his mother as he lazily lounges on the sofa in her bedroom. Ms. Kim stuffs some blouses into her suitcase and faces her son, “No,” she answers.

 

“Why not? I swear I won’t throw any parties while you’re away,” Kai convincingly states.

 

“You said the same exact words last time, and guess what happened when I got home?” Ms. Kim reminds her son. Kai looks from side to side with a sly smile on his face, “But nothing was broken.”

 

“Of course nothing was broken, but the house was a mess, a mess Kai,” Ms. Kim says then went back to the closet. Kai pouts, “So if we don’t get the house to ourselves, who will be staying with us?”

 

“Kim Taeyeon”

 

“Kim…Taeyeon? Who is that?”

 

“She is…,” Ms. Kim stops midway in her tracks and blinks, “Someone,” she answers oddly then continues her way to the suitcase. Kai looks at his mom and sits up, “Someone? But who though?”

 

“Just someone, quit asking me questions Kai,” Ms. Kim says rather annoyingly. Before Kai was able to pipe out another dumb question, the door to Ms. Kim’s room opens and Jongin walks in, “Mom the car is ready for you,” he says once he enter. Ms. Kim looks at Jongin and smiles, “Thank you Jongin ah,” she says, “and Kai…why can’t you be more like your twin?”

 

Kai gave Jongin one glance before looking away, “Because I’m not a er up like him.”

 

“I do not up to mom,” Jongin calmly argues back and pushes his glasses up his nose bridge. Kai scrunches his nose, “Plus I’m not a nerd.”

 

“Kai!” Ms. Kim shouts at him, “Would you quit it?”

 

“It’s okay mom,” Jongin chimes in, “at least I’m not the one asking for help when it comes to basic common sense,” he remarks back. Kai chuckles, jumps off the sofa and slings an arm around his twin, “I love you man,” he reminds Jongin while patting his back.

 

“Whatever Kai,” Jongin said and rolls his eyes, “What do you want?”

 

“Nothing, I was only expressing my love towards my twin brother who is 2 minutes older than me that’s all,” Kai says innocently and squeezes Jongin’s cheeks, “I’m hungry~,” he complains then leaves the room.

 

“Aish that Kai,” Ms. Kim breathes out while rubbing her forehead.

 

“Are you okay mom?” Jongin asks while making his towards his mother. “I’m fine Jongin,” she says softly.

 

“How long will you be gone?”

 

“Three months,” Ms. Kim answers, “Tomorrow, there will be someone coming over to stay and take care of you two while I’m away.”

 

“But we have the maids mother,” Jongin reminds her.

 

“Yes I know but they’re just maids, this person who’s coming in tomorrow will be standing in this house as me for the time being until I return. The both of you are obliged to listen to while I’m away.”

 

“But…,”

 

“Don’t wanna,” Kai chimes in as he walks back into the room with a pizza in his hands, “Why should I listen to some random person who will be living with us for three months?”

 

“Kai, would you quit giving me such a hard time and just listen to the things I say?” Ms. Kim scolds her younger son. “I am,” Kai answers.

 

“When will she be here?” Jongin asks.

 

“Tomorrow at 3pm, please show her around Jongin ah, I’m counting on you,” Ms. Kim says while patting his shoulder. Jongin nods, “Yes mother.”

 

“Always acting like the good boy aren’t we?” Kai says rather loudly from behind.

 

“Kai!” Ms. Kim shouts at him. Jongin spins around, walks to the door, and slaps Kai across the head before exiting.

 

“Jongin!” Ms. Kim shouts at her older one. She sighs loudly while rubbing her forehead, “Gosh you two…”
