The Dream of "One"

[One-shot] The Dream of "One"

Author’s note, 14 Jun 2010:  I was bored on the plane and I wrote this.  Quite out of the blue, actually.  “May 26 ~12:55 PM, Central Time.  Just ate a snack.  I feel like writing… So I’m going to write a small scene…  Let’s see… what kind of storyline?”  Haha.  Hope you like it? ^^;;

“Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean”

-Ryunosuke Satoro.

-----

The loud chants echoed off the walls of the dome, repeating, again and again.

“Dong Bang Shin Ki!” some shouted in excitement.

        “Tohoshinki!” others screamed in unison.

        “Dong Fang Shen Qi!”

        “TVXQ!”

To some, perhaps, these shouts were the loudest, most annoying noises possible.  But to them, those letters, characters, and sounds were diamonds.

        Gold amidst a depression.

        Light in the darkness.

        Food in starvation.

        Water in a desert.

They stood backstage, smiling with pride as they paused after changing clothes.  One let out a dolphin-like cry of joy.  A single, strangled sob escaped the larynx of another.  The youngest covered his face with one hand, body shaking, while the eldest wrapped his arm tightly around the last one’s shoulder.  The leader pulled the rest together into a circle.

They sat before the stage— the large, abnormally shaped stage— cheering.  Voices sore but strong, they waved their red glow sticks in sync with their chant.  Their volume never faltered.

They looked at each other in the eye…

They sensed the dimming of the lights…

        …smiling with utmost content…

        …crescendoing to a degree humans cannot detect…

        They nodded.

        They cheered.

        Mindsets alike…

        Eyes shining with anticipation….

        Language didn’t matter anymore.

        Words didn’t mean a thing.

        They spoke with their eyes.

        They spoke with their support.

Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, and every other language out there…

        None of them cared.

        They were one.

Author’s note:  With the lawsuit situation hanging over our heads, I think we should all try to think of the more positive things.  I’ve noticed that the TVXQ fans, in their unwavering support for the boys, have become, more or less, one with each other, thus the inspiration for this one-shot.  I hope one day, the fans, with TVXQ, will reach this state of faith where we don’t just believe in TVXQ, but in each other as well.

Aww! Haha, I was fiddling with the random story button when I found this piece of gold. 8D

I have a short attention span (which is probably why anything with a small scroll bar with be ignored), so I really liked how short and sweet this was. I'm not a big fan of DBSK, but this was so sweet. It made me smile.

It was short, simple and sweet. You're a great author. Have a nice day! :)

It took me about 45 seconds to read it ^^.<br />
Well. Relatively.<br />
It was 10.29 when I started at 10.29 when I finished. (I'm listening to a song and Bellz makes a funny noise that I've never noticed before so I'll send it to you when you grace me on MSN again)<br />
I liked it. And the writing style. It made me go "Aw."<br />
