He slashed his way through the horde of enemies that blocked his path.  He only had one thing on his mind.  To protect his boss.  It was his duty to ensure the safety of their leader, even if it cost him his life.

As the last man fell, he rushed over to where his boss was, surrounded by a group of men.  With a bloodcurdling scream, he raised his sword and fought his way through, trying to reach his boss.  But, no matter how experienced he was with a sword, he was outnumbered.

"Be a good dog and die!" he heard someone say.

At that moment, he felt the cold steel, plunging into his left side.  He struck his sword at his attacker, but another one advanced on him from the right, opening a deep gash on his body.  Blood gushed out from his wounds but he refused to surrender.

There was a loud scream.  He looked up ahead and saw his boss with a sword plunged through his body.  He watched as the attacker pulled his sword out.  He watched as his boss collapsed to the ground.

"No!" he screamed.

He wanted to reach his boss, to save him, but he could not take a step further.  He slowly glanced down at the sharp blade which had buried itself in his stomach.

"Loyal dogs should die with their owners," said a mocking voice.

Agonising pain ripped through his entire being when he felt the blade pull out from his body.  He dropped to his knees as his blood gushed out, luring him into unconsciousness.
