Poem 36: A Sad Fate.
She said hi,
we were friends.
I was high,
everytime she smiles.
I said hi,
we were friends.
He makes me happy.
When I'm with him, I couldn't help but smile.
She said hey,
I knew I liked her then.
I was high.
I knew I needed to see her smile.
I said hey,
He became sweeter.
He keeps on begging,
telling me he needed to see me smile.
She was sad,
she says she needs to belong.
I want her to be mine.
It's only a matter of time.
I was sad,
time is short, I needed to belong.
He said that I already belong.
He told me I just needed to wait.
She called my name.
I told her what's on my mind.
I love her, I need her.
She didn't speak.
I called his name.
He told me what's on his mind.
He loves me, he needs me.
I was so happy that I couldn't speak.
She didn't like me.
She likes my friend.
She gave him her smile.
She gave me her friendship.
I love him,
but I was dying.
I needed to pretend to smile,
to just give him my friendship.
She won't talk to me,
she can't return my love.
I won't be able to see her smile anymore.
She can never be mine.
I can't hurt him,
I wanted to tell him everything.
But it was too late.
He's already gone.
How is it that she doesn't love me?
I don't understand.
I'll love her forever,
even if she already belongs to someone else.
I love him so much.
Can't he understand that?
I'll love him forever.
Even if I can never belong to him anymore.
