Poem 3: Just A Friend
I had always been there, waiting for you.
You had promised me you won't leave me and I had waited.
But up until now, I'm still waiting; hoping you'll come back to me.
But when I had gone out to search for you, I saw you in the arms of another girl.
My bestfriend.
How could you do this to me?
I have waited for so long.
I was hoping so much...
I was so eager to see you.
But all this time, you were loving somebody else.
I've given everything I've had, suffered so much, and cried every night.
But still, I waited patiently for you, hoping you'll love me back as much as I love you.
But I should've known better.
Because even if there are only two of us in this world,
you will still be my everything while I will still be nothing to you.
You weren't really going to return for me...
You didn't even plan to.
Despite all of my efforts, I'm still nothing but a friend to you...
Just a friend, forever a friend.
No more, no less.
Right?
