POEMS BY BUTTERFLY555

Description

Almost Atlas

I wonder what dreams may come

you don't have dreams,

I want to feel the warmth of the sun

Pulsating on my skin as heat

Brushes the coolness

Off my body,

You... get sunburned

I have learned to see light in

the darkest places of one's heart

you could spot shadows

on the  ground at around midnight

I have freed myself

from the chains that bind

one's soul to earth,

opended my arms as wide

as i possiable could, in order to seal

that black-hold scar across

your chest

The black hole you created

when you laid all

blame on yourself

I have given you  a place to

release every single one

of your pains,aches,and burdens

and

allowed you to evenly distribute

across my back

from shoulder to shoulder

every sting and soreness

that was one yours...

My knees are trembling.

My back is weakening. My bones are cracking.

But most of all

my heart is aching

I'm not sure that i can hold on much longer

But I will...

For I must...

For although the weight of your  world

is on my shoulders

Your happiness

lies in

my hands
