Description
Lee Ji Eun has always been a bit naive when it comes to love. Her first boyfriend of one year dies suddenly. She doesn't know what to think, and why, when everything was just starting to turn out right for her, that tragic event had to happen. So to cope, she starts to write him letters, recalling how they first met, everything that they did. Until something happens to interrupt these letters, and she will have to make a choice.

Lee Ji Eun (IU)-twenty years old, bubbly, cheerful, cute, until her boyfriend passes, then she becomes withdrawn, sad, anxious, and wary of getting close to people, especially those of the opposite .
Lee Minhyuk -twenty one years old, confident, kind, passed away suddenly, a loyal boyfriend to Ji Eun while he was alive
Im Siwan-twenty three years old, slightly dorky, innocent, a gentleman, acquaintance of Ji Eun's..

Lee Joo Yeon-Ji Eun's eldest sister, twenty four years old, keeps breaking up with boyfriends, and their mom is nagging her to start settling down to get married, headstrong, but soft hearted when it comes to her youngest and only sister's well-being
Lee Mi Sook-Ji Eun's mom, temperamental at times, cautious, sheltered her youngest child alot, worried for her, but grew to accept Minhyuk as Ji Eun's boyfriend through time
Lee Woo Jin-Ji Eun's father, a scholarly man, kind hearted, more easy going compared to his wife, was also hesitant about Minhyuk at first, but gradually accepted him.

Foreword
Dear Minhyuk oppa,
It;s been a year since you passed away. I can't even begin to describe how hard it's been, waking up every morning, knowing that I'll never hear your good morning calls, or see you outside my front doorstep so we can walk to University together. I know you would want me to be happy and still be smiling, but it's so difficult.
You weren't supposed to die that way oppa. You weren't supposed to die that young either oppa. Every night I wish that I could go back to that night, and do everything over again. If things would have just been timed differently, then just maybe you would still be here. I miss you oppa.
