Here I Am (FINAL)

Here I Am (Hyungshik Two-Shot)

*The Next Morning*

-Third Person’s POV-
As Minhee got off the inner city bus carefully, she cared to noticed that no one on the bus had even bothered to help her get off the bus, or even offered to carry the bundle of bags she had in her arms. But she didn’t mind at all. It’s not like she could trust anyone at the moment.

“Be careful miss,” she heard the bus driver call out to her. She smiled as she turned around and blindly waved in the direction she believed she heard the bus driver. The bus driver smiled as he closed the doors and drove off to the next bus stop.

Minhee sighed as she carefully felt around the area. Her small hands firmly gripped the bus pole. Then her thin small fingers delicately brushed against some smooth glass. “Ah, it’s the booth,” she confirmed to herself, as it was indeed the bus stop booth. As she made her way around the booth, following the smooth booth, she managed to reach to the booth’s seats, where she could rest her stuff as she took a short break from her short trip to the supermarket to start her preparations for the one year memorial dinner she was fixing up tonight. Even though it might be difficult, she managed to get the butchers the cut up all the necessary meats to do so. But the rest, she could manage.

Now the problem is, she wanted the perfect fruits for her father. She didn’t want to hand pick them, saddened by the fact that she couldn’t satisfy her father. And no one at the supermarket knew anything about her father. So here she is, at the hill top where she has to go downhill to go grab the fruit from the nice old lady in the town plaza.

Minhee suddenly frowned. “What if that guy is there again? What if bullies me around again?” she murmured to herself, as she sighed. She couldn’t handle another guy bullying her or even taking advantage of her. Just because she couldn’t see, doesn’t mean she’s fully immobile and wasn’t aware of what’s going on. She sighed again, “But he saw me in my weakest moments. I can’t believe I showed a stranger how weak I am!” Minhee cursed to herself as she covered her face in embarrassment, as she shook her head. “If only I could see, maybe none of this would have happened,” she stopped her immature image. “If only I could see…”

She took a deep breath. “Well, I have to get those fruits for father…I’m sure he’ll be disappointed on this special day. I have to face the guy one way or another. Mind as well get it over with today and never see him again,” she stood up, as she spoke to herself grabbing the groceries she had in hand. “This is for father. You have to do it,” Minhee mentally cheered herself on.

Just as she was about to head out of the bus booth to the downhill town plaza, she was suddenly greeted by a loud hello.

“Hello there!” Minhee heard, frightening her a bit, where she fell back into the seats of the bus booth.

“Who’s there?” she yelled out, hands up as she felt like she was protecting herself.

And the person who came to greet her was none other than a surprised Siwan and a pouting, arm crossed Hyungshik.

“Omo! I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” Siwan quickly went over to help Minhee, but she flailed her arms. “Get away from me! I don’t have any money for you!”

“We’re not here to hurt you! Nor are we here to take anything of your’s,” Siwan tried to convince her, but she wasn’t buying it at all. “Oh really?! Then tell me who the hell you are then?” Minhee demanded frantically, as she tried to grab her groceries, but they fell over. “Oh! My things,” she sadly said, as she got on her knees and felt around for the fallen items.

Siwan saw this and immediately went over to help. “Look, we’re actually here to help,” he gently said, as he slowly helped her up onto the bench and bent down to pick up the fallen groceries.

As Siwan was helping the helpless person out, Hyungshik scoffed and mocked Siwan. “We’re here to help~~~” he said in a whiny voice.

“Yah! You idiot! Come over here and help me!” Hyungshik’s hyung ordered him, making him jump a bit. He could fear his hyung a bit. And in this case, he was threatened if he didn’t come with his hyung.

Hyungshik grumbled, “Coming…”

As Hyungshik ran over to help with the groceries, Minhee began to realize that the gentle guy was sincere with what he had said. But who was the other guy?

Just as the two young men finished putting the groceries back in its place, Minhee carefully asked, in high hopes that they’re still around, “Ummm…who are you guys?”

Siwan looked over to his dongsaeng and smiled down at Minhee, “Well, you may not really know me. But I’ll introduce myself. I’m Im Siwan and I’m 23 years old. I work a restaurant booth.”

Minhee smiled, “Oh! Please to meet you.” She bowed slightly to show a bit of respect. “I’m Lee Minhee, 20 years old.” And she waited for the other one to speak. “And who are you?” she kindly asked for the name of the other guy who had just helped her.

Hyungshik’s stubborn attitude caused him to look away, refusing to answer her. That is, until Siwan immediately elbowed him. “Ow! Alright then!” he yelled out. Then he turned to her and said in a low voice, pouting slightly, “I’m Park Hyungshik and I’m 20 years old.”

“Wait…I recognize that voice…” her eyes widened as she immediately identified who he was. “You’re that guy from yesterday!”

Hyungshik gasped, “How did you know?”

“I know that rude voice! Especially since you rudely commented on my…” Minhee trailed off, not wanting to be reminded again that she was blind.

Hyungshik began, voice almost ready to explode out of impatience. “Look, I wanna say sorr—”

“Save it. I know for a fact that you don’t mean it. And I don’t intent on listening to your pity for me. I didn’t come back for your apology,” she firmly said, emotions and face expression emotionless. “I came for fruit that I was GOING to buy and leave. That’s it. Now if you excuse me, I’ll be going now,” Minhee bowed as she reached for one of her grocery bags.

But her hand got grabbed by Hyungshik, leaving Minhee in complete shock. “What are you—”

“I’m told to come here to help, that’s it,” he strained the anger in his voice. Right now he was thinking, “Does she really think I’m lying when I wanna say sorry? How dare she call me a liar!”

This didn’t stop Minhee from snatching her hands back, grabbing her groceries, “Stay away from me! I can’t trust people like you!”

Then Siwan gently stopped her, hands on her shoulders. Minhee turned to him, even though she couldn’t see him, she felt his presence there. “We really are here to help. The nice Ahjumma sent us here to give you the fruit,” Siwan gently smiled, as he reached for her free hand and placed the bag of fruit into her hands.

“I’m saying this at the bottom of my heart. I’m sincerely sorry for my dongsaeng’s actions yesterday. He seriously didn’t know you lost your sight. Hyungshik-ah was just being a good civilian and looking out for the town. We’re kinda new here, so we didn’t know about you. So please forgive him?” Siwan took a step back as he waited for her reaction.

Minhee gripped the bag’s handles as she realized that this kind young man truly means what he says. “Um…thank you. Here,” she reached into her pocket and reached her free hand out to Siwan. He was unsure what to do, but Hyungshik somehow knew and stuck his hand out, where Minhee felt the large warm hands for the first time. Minhee smiled, “Please give this Ahjumma for me, won’t you Siwan-shi?”

“I’m Hyungshik,” Hyungshik grumbled, making Minhee immediately take her hands back, blushing slightly.

“Anyways, thank you! I think I’ll be going now…” Minhee quickly said, as she grabbed her groceries near her hands, making Siwan chuckle a bit. “The next bus should be here soon,” she said, turning a bit more pink, as they saw her being clumsy.

“I guess we’ll be leaving then,” Hyungshik said, as he stretched a bit, making Minhee furrow her eye brows at him. “Yeah we should be going now,” Siwan said, with a gentle voice, where Minhee slightly smiled at him.

Minhee waited as the boys went walking off. She heard them talking to each other as they might’ve argued a bit. And soon all she could hear were whispers.

As she thought the boys have left, she sat down on the bench as she sighed. “If only I could see what they looked like…”

“You wanna see what Siwan looks like don’t you?” Minhee heard right next to her, making her jump. “Hyungshik-shi?” she gasped.

-Hyungshik’s POV-
As we both walked away from the bus stop, Siwan elbowed me, “Yah! You’re supposed to stay!”

I yelled out, “SAY WHAT!?”

Siwan shushed me and lowered his voice, “Pretend we’re leaving, just whisper.” We stood no further than seven feet away from her.

“Why do I have to stay?” I whined, crossing my arms.

Siwon flicked my forehead, making me glare at him, “Because you need to reflect on your behavior yesterday!”

I stuck my arms out, “But I already said my sorry!” Siwan shot me a cold glare, making me shut up immediately. Whatever Minhee witnessed from this terrible fake nice guy, I hope she’ll find out that he’s actually mean! Well to me at least.

“Do it! Or I won’t pay for your rent anymore!” he threatened. I gasped. NOOOO!!! I sighed as I turned around and slowly sat on the bench, in high hopes I won’t get noticed.

“If only I could see what they looked like…” Minhee sighed as she blindly looked ahead.

I grinned, “You wanna see what Siwan looks like don’t you?” I asked, making her gasp.

“Hyungshik-shi?”

I lightly chuckled, “Well yeah…that’s me.”

“I thought you left with Siwan-shi…” I observed her as she shifted in her seat as her cheeks turned slightly pink.

I sighed as I looked ahead, “Trust me, I wanted to leave with him too. But I can’t.”

“Wae?” she turned to me as I turned to her as well. I could see the cloudiness in her eyes, making me feel guilty.

It’s not like she could feel me staring at her, I watched her as I slightly lied, “Because I wanted to help you. It’s the least thing I could do. Especially after what I have done yesterday.”

I could see her hesitating. Okay, yes I’m not one for liars, but I can’t help but lie to her. I don’t want to tell her that I’m helping her because of a tiny threat. Nor do I wanna tell her that I felt really guilty about what I did. I have my pride too!

“Um…no, I don’t need help from you. I’m not even sure if I could trust you at all. So you could go ahead and leave,” she waved me away as the next bus came up.

She stood up as she slowly grabbed her bags. “Wait up! I’m coming!” she yelled out, as the bus driver loudly responded, “Okay!”

I looked at her as she securely had every single bad she had brought along with her. I looked at the bus. I could both leave her and never see her again. Or I could help her and repent for my terrible actions.

Maybe I could get something out of this. Hopefully…

Just as Minhee was slowly walking towards the bus, I ran up to her and grabbed both her bags as well as her small hands. “Yah! What are you…”

“I mean what I say. I’m here to help you, so let me,” I sternly said, as I walked up the bus steps and helped her up the steps as well. Who knew my life was going to change.

-Minhee’s POV-
What was this guy thinking? Why won’t he leave me alone? I had wanted to pull my hand away from Hyungshik’s hand, but just kept his grip firm. After calming down a bit during the ride, I couldn’t help but study his large warm hands. They were very large, not to mention that his fingers were very thin. I felt his hand more, wanting to know every single detail about his hand, with my fingers feeling his hand.

“What the hell are you doing?” I heard Hyungshik’s questioning voice.

I mumbled, “I wanted you to…let go?”

“Not happening,” he said so sternly that I couldn’t help but keep my hand still. “You’re such a bad liar,” I could hear his voice curling a bit with a smile? More of a smirk. I blushed some more.

We managed to get off the bus, after I told him that this was the way we were supposed to go. He didn’t trust me, since he sounded as if I was just blindly going my way.

“Are you sure this is your home?” he asked after we got off the bus. “This looks like we’re going into the woods or something…”

I sighed, “Listen here, buddy. I know where I’m going.”

“Sure you do,” he snobbily remarked, making me kicking his shin. “OW!” he cried out, as I felt him bending down slightly. I grinned, “What what you say around a blind person. We could do a lot worse.”

“I’m sorry…” he mumbled. I patted his arm, “Now take me up the steepest hill here, where there’s a lot of trees around the path area.”

-Third Person’s POV-
As Hyungshik did as Minhee had said and lead her up the steepest hill there was, he couldn’t help but mumble with complaints. “I hate this hill. I hate it when I have to get lost in the woods with her…” But then his voice froze as they reached the peak of the hill.

“What’s wrong?” Minhee said, as she stood right next to Hyungshik, as he looked around the empty field.

It was the largest, cleanest field that he’s ever seen since he got here. Not only that, it was the fact that the sun was hitting the fields at such an angle is what makes it beautiful.

“It’s…beautiful,” Hyungshik whispered, as a light wind blew on both of them. He turned to her, waiting for her reaction. But she was emotionless, but she had a small smile. He frowned, forgetting the fact that she couldn’t see it.

“I haven’t seen it before. But apparently as all my father’s friends had said, I picked a wonderful place for him,” Minhee gently said, “I just wish I could see it one day.”

This made Hyungshik feel sorry for her. Then Minhee tugged on Hyungshik’s hand, “Could you take me to the only headstone here?”

Hyungshik thoughtfully said, “Of course.” And he carefully lead her down the hill as he thought to himself, “If she’s visiting someone, why doesn’t anyone of her family members come as well? And what did she mean by ‘she picked a wonderful place for him’?”

But he couldn’t answer at all, all he could do was helping her get to the headstone that she desired. And it was true this was the only headstone here. No one would have thought this place was meant for burying someone here.

As they reached there, Hyungshik pulled his hands away and helped her small hands to feel the headstone to let her know that she was hear. She smiled, “Dad! I’m here. You’re little girl is right here.”

Hyungshik watched as she hugged the head stone for a moment, curiously watching. He had so many questions to ask her, but there was no way he could ask them since they barely knew each other.

“Hey, properly introduce yourself to father! It’s rude if you don’t do so,” Minhee’s voice pulled Hyungshik from his thoughts as he instantly hopped up and nodded. “Uh…okay…”

He walked up to the front of the headstone, as Minhee carefully stepped away, “Hello, sir. I don’t really know you, but I’ll introduce myself anyways. I’m Park Hyungshik please to meet you.” Then Hyungshik bowed in respect to him.

“Good, now it won’t seem so awkward when you help me clean up his grave,” Minhee smiled as she blindly looked over to Hyungshik to smile. And she did so, as the sun lightly complimented her to where Hyungshik was a bit overwhelmed to see her smile. “She’s beautiful…” Hyungshik mentally said as he looked away, blushing. Then he realized what Minhee had said, “Eh?”

“Help me clean up as I get the fruit ready,” Minhee smiled, as she felt around her surroundings for the bag of fruit.

Hyungshik gently grabbed her hands and placed the bag’s handle in her hand, “Here you idiot, you could have asked me,” he couldn’t help but let his jerky side come out a bit. He wanted to seem familiar to her so she wouldn’t suspect him of being a bit different than yesterday and earlier today.

------

As they sat about 3 feet away from Minhee’s Father’s grave, Hyungshik wanted to know more about the man. Minhee on the other hand was lost in her own memories with her father.

“Is the fruit good, Father?” she asked as she hugged her knees.

Then Hyungshik left his thoughts as he felt his hands being pulled into Minhee’s hands and squeezing them a bit. Hyungshik wanted to say something, but he couldn’t help but feel that the atmosphere was a moment of peace so he allowed it.

“Hey…ummm…” Hyungshik began as his voice quivered a bit out of nervousness. “What is it?” Minhee said, as she patiently waited for what Hyungshik had to say. “What happened to—”

“Let’s get going. My house isn’t too far from here,” Minhee abruptly stood up, dusting off herself and grabbing the bags to put the fruit back in. “Well? What are you waiting for you lazy, aren’t you coming to help me?”

“Yah! I’m not lazy! Don’t you ever dare call me lazy!” Hyungshik said, a bit out of anger but then again he’s just saying it so he would see like the same guy she knew of.

All he heard was her laughing a bit before she blindly waved her hand around just so could reach the headstone sooner to get the fruit. But Hyungshik smirked as he immediately grabbed her hands and helped her there.

--------

“Yah! How could you even cook? YOU’RE BL—” Hyungshik began, complaining again as he made it safely to what seemed to be Minhee’s house.

“Yes? Go on. I’m all ears, buddy,” she said, waiting for him to say something, but that only made him strain his temper as he didn’t want to insult her again. “Nevermind…” he mumbled.

Minhee shrugged, “Whatever you say. Look, is this the right house? With the blue pale rooftop and broken gate?”

“If you mean a rundown house, then yes, this is the right house,” Hyungshik sarcastically said, earning another kick in the shin. “OW!”

“Watch it, boy! I don’t usually let strangers come in. So you should be thankful that I’m letting you come in to eat some food!” she lectured him, making him only pout.

“Whatever…” he mumbled.

-----

“Bleh! This is what you cook?” Hyungshik cringed as he placed his chopsticks down.

Minhee only shrugged, “Well it’s leftovers okay?”

“Know what? I’ll help you cook! I bet you cut yourself a lot even burn yourself a little,”Hyungshik stood up, grabbing the groceries.

“I do not!” she yelled out, “And for you information, I don’t need you to cook! If you don’t want to eat then don’t eat it and leave!”

“Why is it that one moment you seem so comfortable around me and the next you’re like some insecurable little girl?” Hyungshik raised his voice a little. He wasn’t gonna let this bipolar girl get to her. Minhee was quiet for a moment. “Well?” he demanded.

“I’m…I’ve never really trusted anyone before. I’ve only been blind for a year and I’ve been used or taken advantage of since I’m blind. People used to steal from me and stuff…But you…you seem very different…I can’t put it in the right words, but for some odd reason, I could trust you for a little bit. Then when you take it to a different level…well…I’m afraid you’re just one of those people that take advantage of the blind…” she mumbled as she brought her legs up to her knees. “No one really has helped me before.”

“Then let me help you,” Hyungshik said as he unload the groceries.

Minhee sighed as Hyungshik went ahead and grab some things from the fridge and looking around the pantry. She couldn’t help but mumble, “It isn’t easy having someone help you…”

Then she stood up and went ahead and told him what meals to make for her father. The ones that she recalls that were his favorites at least.

-Week 1-

“Why can’t you just leave me alone?” Minhee groaned as she tried to pull her blanket back from Hyungshik, who was pulling it away from her. “Just leave me alone! I wanna sleep,” she whined, as she struggled for the blanket.

“Yah! You’re supposed to be up already!” Hyungshik nagged at her, managing to get the blanket away from her.

She sat right up and crossed her arms, “What’s with you? You’ve been nothing but bothersome for the last few days already!”

“Hey! I said I would help, right? So I’m helping you!” Hyungshik got straight to the point. “At look at you! You look like a mess! Do you need me to help you shower too?”

This made Minhee blush as she stood up. “Just get out! I could shower on my own!” she pointed outward indicating she wanted him out of the room. “Okay, okay. I was just joking. It’s not like I wanted to see what was under those clothes,” he said as he walked out of the room and shutting it.

“What does he know…” she mumbled as she took a deep breath. Ever since the day he helped her with cooking, Hyungshik has been nothing but a bother to Minhee. She slowly walked toward a wall of her room and felt around, walking slowly to make sure she’ll make it to the bathroom safely. Which she did.

As she sat in the filled tub of water, knees up to her chest. She just sat there thinking, “Why would Hyungshik keep coming here? I thought seeing him the other day was going to be enough.” As she kept thinking about that day, she was thinking of reasons as to what she did to make him come by so often.

And then it clicked. “Oh no…” Minhee sighed as her face fell in her lap. “It’s because I spilled out to him, now he’s just pitying me because I do things on my own…” Then she lifted up her head. “For now on, no more spilling your feelings out!”

-Week 2-
“Minhee…” Hyungshik mumbled a bit, looking over at Minhee. Minhee quietly sipped tea as they sat there in front of her father’s grave again. He had wanted to come out for the beautiful scenery, but he thought it was disrespectful if he didn’t bring Minhee as well.

“What is it?” she whispered, face as always emotionless. He sighed as he leaned back.

Hyungshik looked ahead, so he won’t stare at Minhee so much, since it’s not the same if she doesn’t look back at him. “You said that it was a year since you lost your sight…right?” Minhee nodded bringing the cup up to her lips again. “Well…if you don’t mind me asking, how did you…become…”

“I think it’s time to head back,” she stood up again, face as hard as steel, not ready to show anyone her emotions yet. Hyungshik sighed as he stood up and grabbed her wrist, “Don’t walk away from me like that.”

“Let go of me,” she sternly said, but this didn’t stop him. Hyungshik shook his head, “Why are you always like this? I know I hardly know you, but I won’t be able to understand you if you don’t tell me the whole story.” His heart was hurting, not by the fact that she didn’t answer him, but the fact was she’s always so cold to him. He wanted to know about her. Sure he knew things she didn’t like, but he wanted to hear her story. How she became the person that she is today.

She turned to him, “No one ever understands me. Ever. So stop trying. If you don’t want to help me anymore, it’s fine. Just leave then.” Minhee snatched her arm back as she took her time finding another tree.

Then the next thing wasn’t like Hyungshik as he shouted out, “Then give me a chance!” Shocking Minhee, she wasn’t sure how to reply to this. And then he unintentionally intertwined their hands together, surprising Minhee. Then Hyungshik whispered, “I’m sorry for what I have done to you the other time. I didn’t know. But give me a chance, please. I want to understand. I’m just…just confused.”

Yes, Hyungshik was sincere about his words. But what he doesn’t know is that he’s heart was confused. Mixed feelings as to what he should feel towards Minhee. Was it pity? Or was it love?

-Week 3-
“Look what I came here with!” Hyungshik cheered as he walked through the door and into the living room, where Minhee was listening to some music from Hyungshik’s iPod. She nodded to her head to a song on it.

Hyungshik grinned as he tiptoed his way towards her without her noticing. He silently giggled as she smiled singing out loud, “Here I am~ Here I am~ Baby baby baby~”

Then Hyungshik pinched her cheeks from behind, “Look who stole my iPod!”

“WAHHH!!! OW!!! IT HURTS!” Minhee cried out, arms flailing.

Hyungshik laughed as he let go. “Yah! Hyungshik-shi! That hurts!” Minhee rubbed her sore cheeks now.

“You didn’t hear me! What was I supposed to do?”  Hyungshik said, as he jumped on the couch with her. “I don’t know, maybe pull the earphone off and say ‘I’m here!’” she smacked Hyungshik. He laughed as he tickled her.

It’s been a few weeks, but they seemed to be closer than ever. “Look what I brought you!”

“Um…I can’t see, you dummy,” Minhee said, as she waved her hands over her eyes to show him for the billionth time. “Oops…sorry. Well I brought some dinner from my restaurant!”

“Ugh…I hope it’s not left overs again…” Minhee stuck her tongue out showing she’s tired of the food. Hyungshik nervously chuckled. “About that…” “It is leftovers again!”

“I’m kidding! I actually brought groceries to cook for you!” he smiled. The she sighed, “Ya know you could have told me to go grocery shopping. I could, ya know?”

“Nonsense! I want you here nice and safe,” Hyungshik whispered in her ear making her lift her hand up and smacking him, but she ended up smacking the chair.

“Hyungshik-shi?” she called out for him, but it seems like no one was in the house now. “Hyungshik-shi? Where are you?” she kept calling out to him. But there was no reply.

As she got up, she slowly found her way to the kitchen, and she heard him starting to cook already, “Yah! Let me cook! I don’t want you cooking for me anymore! I’m a big girl,” Minhee found his back, which was somewhat large but not as large as her father’s back.

Then she quieted herself down as she found herself wrapping her arms around Hyungshik’s body.

“What are you doing?” Hyungshik asked, heart racing as he stopped to turn back to her. But Minhee didn’t say anything.

She snuggled into his back. “You’re so warm…like Dad,” she whispered, holding herself closer to him, making him blush. “Can I stay like this…just for a little longer, please?”

Hyungshik couldn’t help but nod as she kept herself glued to him, and even then he couldn’t help to think, “What am I doing? What’s wrong with me?”

------

“Becareful,” Hyungshik gently said, as he watched Minhee pick up a small knife to cut the vegetables. His skin kept tingling as he watch her carefully cutting one slice at a time. He had feared that she would cut herself, but she shouldn’t know too much. “Here! I’ll help you,” he pinched his forehead to refrain from yelling at her.

“Hey I could j—” she began, but stopped as she felt Hyungshik’s body against her own and his hands wrapping her own.

“Let’s take our time as we cut, okay? Ready and…go!” he said as he carefully helped Minhee cut the vegetables. The whole time, Minhee couldn’t help but think as her heart beat crazily, “What’s wrong with me? What am I doing?”

-Week 4-
“I told you, I don’t need your help! I could do everything on my own. I’m fine!” Minhee had it with Hyungshik always helping her. “You’re not helping at all! All you’re doing is pitying me! It’s nothing but pity!”

-Hyungshik’s POV-
I stepped away from her, shocked to hear these kind of words coming from her. I was used to her being bipolar about her feelings. From being close to me, then suddenly distant. But this was beyond distance, it felt more hateful than ever.

“What do you mean pitying you?” I asked, my chest quenching tighter and tighter. I have this feeling that she’s been on and off pushing me away then pulling me in. But this time, for sure I feel like she’s about to push me so far that I could never reach her again. “What’s wrong? Is there something wrong?”

“Just leave me alone okay?” she yelled out, grabbing her head.

What did I do? All I did was say that I wanted to help her as much as possible and be there for her.  “Answer me, Minhee. How do I pity you?” I asked her, as I gently tried to pull her hands into my own.

“Get away from me!” she cried out, as she yanked her hand away and ran off. “MINHEE!” I yelled out, I dashed out after her.

She slipped on her shoes but didn’t work as she ran out into the rain barefooted. I stopped myself from hitting the water. “MINHEE! COME BACK!”

I could see her running out, blindly finding her own way. Where was she going? Worry struck me, as I felt that she was gonna be hurt. I quickly put on my shoes and grabbed an umbrella and followed the muddy trail.

-Third Person’s POV-
As Minhee quickly ran as fast as she could from Hyungshik, she couldn’t help but wonder what’s wrong with her? What’s so bad with having someone always there?

She needed to go somewhere else, as far from Hyungshik as possible. When she’s with him, she can’t seem to understand her feelings at all.

The rain kept falling down, as she collapsed in the middle of the woods. Then the thought of her father came up, for she missed him very much.

“Dad, I’m…I’m confused,” she clutched her head shaking it violently. She leaned against a tree, crying out, “Why am I so confused right now? When I’m with him, my heart is about to explode. And even if he’s gone for a moment, my hand is always searching for his hands…Why? Why am I like this?”

Minhee then lifted her head up to the sky and yelled out, “WHY!?”

Somewhere further away from her, Hyungshik was yelling out, “MINHEE! Where are you!?” He had a feeling that she was in the woods, but where? He struggled climbing up the steep hill, slipping here and there. But that didn’t stop him from searching for her. His heart was going to explode any moment, if he couldn’t find her. He needed to make sure she’s alright. “MINHEE!” He yelled again, in hopes of her calling back to her.

As Minhee cried her heart out, wondering what to do now, she realizes that she’s completely lost. “Great, now what? Why am I so stupid? Why can’t I decide if I want him here or not!” she cursed to herself, as she slowly stood up, her outfit completely wet. She was cold and now lost.

And out of nowhere, her heart spoke to her as she silently cried to herself, mumbling, “Where are you Hyungshik?” She searched around, feeling tree after tree, going up a hill. “Hyungshik…where are you? I need you. Please…I’m lost,” she said to herself, feeling lonely.

As she climbed up, she realized that she was at the top of a hill when she almost took a step downwards. Then she yelled out, “HYUNGSHIK! WHERE ARE YOU!?”

And before she knew it, Minhee suddenly felt that there was no more rain falling on her, but something was covering her. “Here I am, Minhee,” she heard Hyungshik say as she instantly smiled and pulled him into her arms.

“I’m so sorry…I’m just…just…” she didn’t know how to say it. “Why don’t we get you back home?” Hyungshik suggested as she nodded. “I’ll tell you about my father. And about me as well…” she suddenly said, as Hyungshik was a bit surprised to even hear this.

“Are you…” he began, but she only nodded. This somehow eased Hyungshik’s heart.

Then Minhee stopped, making Hyungshik stop as well. “Minhee?”

“Hyungshik-ah…can I do something?” she whispered as the heavy rain became a light shower on them. “What is it?” he asked. “Can I feel what you look like?”

Hyungshik smiled, “Of course.”

Minhee took a deep breath as Hyungshik bent down a bit so she could feel his face. He gently grabbed her hands and pulled them up to his face. “I’m right here. I will never go away,” he whispered. She couldn’t help but smile as her hands felt the shape of his face. She felt around his cheeks then his chin and jawline and then his nose. And when she reached his lips, she lightly blushed as she felt them.

“Why are you smiling?” she asked, as the light rain came to a halt. Hyungshik couldn’t help but smile as she smiled as well.

“Can I do something?” Hyungshik asked as he pulled her hands away his face. She nodded, unsure what will happen now.

Hyungshik smiled as he gently pulled her close to him as he went ahead and kissed her with sincerity. A shot of electricity went through her as she felt herself become a bit dizzy, even light headed. As he let go of her, he held her close. “I never want to let you go. I want to be with you, always. I’ll prove to you that I love you. And I mean it.”

As Hyungshik helped Minhee back home, she happily smiled that she could finally be with someone she loved.

And that night, Minhee didn’t want Hyungshik to leave her, this time, she convinced him to sleep next to her. As Minhee sleeped in peace, Hyungshik was there holding her close to him.

d'aww~ love it~ especially the ending. and i love the stubborn hyungshik at the beginning and i guess he turned out to be stubborn enough to stay be her side. lol that's so sweet of him to come to her house, trying to make up to his mistakes~ it's a bit rushed though, i have to say. if this is a chaptered fic, then i think it'll be nice. anyway, thanks for making the shots~ <3
