“This is the day she will never be mine.”

“Oppa you came” she runs toward me and hugs me.

“Yeah! Congratulations!” I greeted her.

“Thank you Oppa” she said.

“Oppa I’m so nervous!” then she started crying.

“Yaah! Stop crying. You’re ugly when you cry. You know that!” I patted her head.

“Yah Oppa! You never change!”She pouted.

“I know that!” then I smiled.

If only I just told her that I love her. This would never happen.

~15 years ago~

I was sleeping under the tree that day. When then someone hit me with a ball on my head.

“Yah! Who hit me with this ball?” I shouted. Then a girl runs towards me.

“Oh! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to hit you. Are you ok?” she said.

“Do I look ok?” I said.

“I’m so sorry!” then she started crying.

“Yah! It’s ok! Stop crying! I’m just fooling you!” but she didn’t stop.

“I said stop crying. You’re not even pretty when you cry!” teasing her.

“Yah! You’re so rude!” She shouted. And she wipes her tears.

“Oh! You’re new here?” got confused and I ask her.

“Yeah! We just move yesterday. By the way, I’m Yang Minzy. And you?" She introduced herself.

“I’m Kim Myungsoo. I live in that house!” points my finger in our house.

“We’re neighbors then! Nice meeting you Myungsoo-ah.”

“How old are you?” I asked her.

“I’m 10 years old. And you?”

“I’m 11. You have to call me Oppa then!”

“Really?” she asked me.

“Yeah!” I smiled and patted her head.

And from that day on, we became friends. We went into the same school. We eat our lunch together. Minzy is the only one who can understand me and my attitude. I remember one time when some girls from our school tried to bully her. And they threatened her to leave me alone. But Minzy with her stubbornness still didn’t listen to them. She starts beating them one by one. And started that day none of the girls from our school tried to flirt with me. I guess they got scared of Minzy. So does I am, when I started teasing her, she ends up on beating me.

It was Minzy’s 13^th birthday. And I know that she will kill me if I didn’t give her a gift. So I have to save my allowance just to buy her a gift. I don’t want to suffer again what happened in her 12^th birthday. I forgot to buy her a gift. And she nags at me about it for almost a month. I dragged her outside their house and gave her my gift.

“Ehhh! I thought you didn’t buy me a gift” she pouted.

“Let’s just say that I’ve learned my lesson!” And I patted her head.

“You better be! What’s this?” shaking the box.

“Just open it!”“Daebak! It’s pretty Oppa! Thank you! And it has our initials on it.” she holds the necklace up in the air and looks at it.

“Give it to me. I’ll put it on you!” I grabbed the necklace and put it on her.

“Thank you Oppa!” she hugs me and kissed me on my cheek. Then she quickly runs inside their house. I was left outside standing frozenly. Minzy just kissed me. Then my heart starts beating and I don’t know why it beats faster like that. Started that day I get jealous when some guys from our School tried to talk to Minzy. I don’t want someone come near her or even talk to her. It feels like I’m starting to like her more than just friends.
