You took a step closer towards the edge. You could almost picture yourself now– falling, falling, falling until you reached your early demise. The image seemed wonderful to you, more tempting then a drug. Beautiful, even. The image of falling was such a wonderful thing to you that it created a rush of excitement, making you feel more alive then you ever have before. Just as well- you're about to die, anyway. May as well be eager about it.
