☆ Awkwardly ual Cookie Biting Moments ☆

EXO ☆ Cupcake Café
"GYAAAAAAH!!!!"

"OMG THEY ARE SO YUMMY LOOKING!!!"

"JUST LIKE THEIR CUPCAKES!"

"I bet they taste as good as their cupcakes..."

"Why don't we go in instead of standing out here and spazzing out about them?"

"I don't think I can handle being that close to all that hotness!"

"I might get pregnant just by standing by one of them!"

"You wish."

"I DO!"

"OMO, KAI. JUST. WINKED AT ME!"

"NO, he winked at ME!"

"You guys really are some dumb es...he winked at ME!"

"NO, ME!"

"AHHHHH!!!"

Two boys watched from inside the café as the girls outside began wrestling on the ground and out in to the street.

"Kai, why do you have to tease them like that?"

"Oh c'mon, Lay. You know it's fun watching them freak out over us."

"Yeah, but their going to scare away customers and possibly get blood all over the sidewalk."

"I sure as hell hope so. And plus, they are our customers." The two of them watched as one of the girls elbow drops another right in the face, scrunching their faces at how painful it looked and the small amount of blood dripping from her face.

Lay turned away from the window to make his way in to the kitchen. Before leaving, he set a hand on Kai's shoulder. "There's a hose on the side of the building."

Kai nodded, knowing he was on fangirl-blood clean-up duty.

EXO Rule #11: If you start a fangirl war inside or outside of the building, you are responsible for cleaning up blood, hair or any other bodily parts and/or fluids left behind.

For Kai, it was a small price to pay for a good five minutes of entertainment.

Kai continued to watch out the window as the girl with the elbow-dropping skills got up on her feet, her school uniform ripped and hair disheveled. She saw that Kai was watching her so she brightly smiled and waved to him, not realizing that she had a bloody lip and was now missing a decent sized chunk out of one of her front teeth.

"That was so worth the extra cleaning work." Kai said to himself through clenched teeth as he smiled and waved back.

"What is going on out there?" Xiumin, the head baker, asked Lay as he checked a tray of cupcakes inside of the oven. "I thought I heard screaming."

"You did," Lay said, rather plainly. "Kai waved to some high school girls."

"Oh," Xiumin knew exactly what happened from hearing that simple answer. "Aren't you the café manager though? Shouldn't you stop those fights before they get out of hand?"

"I am the manager. Not a referee. Plus, the fights are actually pretty entertaining."

Xiumin shook his head in disapproval. "You're one sick individual."

"So I've been told." Lay replied, like he's heard it a million times. "Anyways, have you seen Kyungsoo?"

"Yeah, he's over in his usual coffee area. Why?"

Lay's attention was diverted to a stack of papers on a clip board he was holding in his hands. "Suho wants to talk to him before we open today."

Xiumin turned away from the oven and looked over at Lay, a worried look on his face. "Uh oh...is he in trouble?"

Lay looked up from his clipboard and raised an eyebrow. "No, why would he be?"

Xiumin shook his head. "No reason. It just never sounds like a good thing when the big boss wants to talk to you."

"Yeah but with them two, it's a little different."

Kyungsoo was completely focused as he poured cream in to a small white cup of espresso, creating a perfect heart design within the foam. He was so focused, he didn't even notice someone walk up to the front of the coffee bar.

"That's really pretty."

Kyungsoo knew that voice all to well.

It was the owner of the EXO Cupcake Café, Suho. With that irresistible smile and milky-white skin, it was hard for Kyungsoo not to be completely taken by him.

Their friends. Best friends. And even though they playfully flirt with small jabs at each other, when they were at work, their relationship is strictly business. Kyungsoo made sure of that.

Or, at least he tried to.

"Mind if I sit in your 'area'?" Suho asked, smiling as he watched Kyungsoo examine his cappuccino masterpiece.

It was a common joke around the café between all the employees that the coffee bar was Kyungsoo's 'area'. He's the head barista and since he spent a lot of his time there, it only seemed fitting.

"Not unless you want hot coffee in your crotch area?" Kyungsoo smirked as he glanced up at Suho who was taking a seat on one of the bar stools.

"I actually quite enjoy that."

"Coming right up." Kyungsoo winked as he turned his back to Suho and walked over to one of the coffee makers. He could feel his boss' eyes follow him as he poured some of the dark liquid in to a ceramic white mug and lightly dropped two sugar cubes inside. Giving it a light stir, he spun around and set the mug on the counter in front of Suho. "Decaf, black, two sugars."

"You know me all too well." Suho said, smirking as he brought his coffee up to his lips, taking a small sip.

"No, you drink the same damn thing every day. Only an idiot wouldn't know how you liked your coffee."

"Chanyeol doesn't know how I like my coffee, and he's worked here for almost four weeks."

"Like I said, only an IDIOT wouldn't know how you like your coffee." Kyungsoo giggled as he wiped down his work station with a damp wash cloth. "Plus, Chanyeol's a work-in-progress. He's slowly catching on."

"Or just slow."

Kyungsoo paused before slowly nodding his head in agreement. "Yeah..."

Suho let out a small chuckle before taking another sip of his coffee. "So listen, I actually needed to ask you about something."

Kyungsoo looked at Suho while he began cleaning up one of the espresso machines. "Sure, what's up?"

"So I'm going to be throwing this big coming out party-"

"You're finally coming out?"

"No, I mean for the café."

"Because if you are, I know this perfect guy for you. He's sweet and funny-"

"That's not what I mean-"

"And I heard he has a really big di-"

"Will you just shut up and listen for a second?"

Kyungsoo couldn't help but let out a little giggle. He always got a kick out of teasing Suho. "Okay. So a coming out party," Kyungsoo started before putting down his cleaning towel and taking a sip of the heart decorated cappuccino he made, waiting for Suho to continue.

Suho sighed. "Right, for the café. Just a few of all of our close friends. And maybe I can get some reporters to stop by so you and Xiumin can get interviewed."

Kyungsoo almost choked on his drink, coughing a couple of times so he could clear his throat. "Re-reporters?"

"Yeah, to give the café some publicity and bring in more business."

"But is it really necessary to get the media involved?Don't you think we've been getting enough business?" Kyungsoo protested.

Suho slid his coffee mug to the side of the bar and leaned forward against the counter. "Our clientele consists of sixteen year old girls who come in here to drool over all of the employees."

Kyungsoo nodded. "Yeah, their kinda like hoards of zombies. They come in here, fill the place up and stare at us like their gonna eat us for dinner."

"And they usually buy one cupcake or a small iced coffee and sit here for hours while they squeal over how cute their servers is."

Kyungsoo thought for a second. "...it's probably Chen. You can bounce a quarter off of that ."

Suho lowered his head and let out a long frustrated sigh. "I just thought that, when I built this place, it would be a nice spot for not only students to hang out at but also couples and families."

"And we can fix that. Send Sehun or Tao out to do a little promoting, maybe hang some posters or something. Why bring in the media?"

Suho raised his head and gave Kyungsoo a questioning look. "What do you have against reporters and the media?"

Shaking his head, Kyungsoo picked up his towel again and continued to clean the espresso machine. "I don't have anything against them."

Suho didn't say anything. He just gave Kyungsoo a look. A look that told the head barista that he wasn't buying what he was telling him.

"Fine," Kyungsoo said. He really couldn't take being stared at by Suho for too long. "Look, there's only three things in this world that totally freak me out and one of them is getting interviewed."

"And the other two?"

"Anything with more then four legs and the word 'moist'."

"Moist?"

"SHHHH!" Kyungsoo shivered. "That word is so gross."

Suho couldn't help but stifle out a laugh. "Anyways, getting interviewed isn't that bad."

"For me it is. I get all sweaty and nervous and I stutter a lot. I hate it."

"You'll be fine." Suho said comfortingly. He looked to the side and noticed a tall glass container filled with stick-shaped chocolate chip cookies, available to their customers to be used as coffee stirrers. Pulling one out, he held it up to Kyungsoo like a microphone. "Here, let's practice. How does it feel to be the head barista of the EXO Cupcake Café?"

(O__O)

Kyungsoo froze for a second, not really sure what to say or do. He told Suho he hated being interviewed, even if it was just for fun. So, he did the first thing he could think about doing. He slowly leaned forward, wrapped his mouth around the end of the cookie stick and bit it.

Suho could only stare, his eyes glancing back and forth from Kyungsoo to the cookie stick since nothing but dirty thoughts were flashing around in his head. "Uhhh..." Shaking his head, he quickly shot up from his seat. "I gotta go."

"Yeah, I gotta get back to, you know...work." Kyungsoo said, going back to wiping down the espresso machine.

"Yeah, me too." Suho nervously chuckled as he rushed out the door.

Once Suho made his way through the door to the back of the café, Kyungsoo slammed his rag down on the counter and took a deep breath. "Great, now I can cross 'create an awkwardly ual cookie biting moment' off my things-to-do-before-I-die list." He was just hoping the awkward moment the two of them just had wouldn't make things weird between them all the time.

Just then, Suho popped his head out from behind the back room door. "Hey Kyungsoo,"

Kyungsoo turned his head toward the direction he was being called from. "Yeah?"

"MOIST!"

"Ewww!"

Yeah...it's definitely not awkward.

So what did you guys think of chapter 1???

With more cracky humor and no drama or angst, I feel like I'm back in my element. It's exciting to finally put something out I'm 100% proud of  o(^▽^)o

Like I said, it's gonna be a compilation of random situations and awkward moments, almost like drabbles, but they'll still connect through the chapters like a regular fic...if that makes any sense. And not to confuse anyone, this fic is totally OT12. There are NO set ships except for SUDO and CHENRIS. The others in the tags will make appearances together but who knows who'll end up with who in the end...not me (>_<)

Thanks to all my readers and subbies! I <3 you all!
