How I got the idea

The first thing I ever thought about this story was about Kei's name Kei Lee (if you don't get it read it fast). Then her race came into mind (seeing as how Kei is a Japanese name) she became a Japanese/Korean and American girl. At the time I was watching the drama Creating Destiny and from there the plot to The Guide to being Korean was formed. 

Author Note

Okay so this is my first fanfic and I put alot of work into the first 5 chapters but there a bit drawn out so sorry about that but I think the following chapters are alot better :). Please do keep in mind that they (the first 5 chapters) were written on Evernote on my nook; which unfortunalty does not have spell check and I did not realize until it was too late. I am still going through the chapters and editing so please ignore my bad spelling and type-o's for the time being.
