It’s been a few weeks since the ‘confession’ incident occurred and Sungjong is on his way to recovery, or so he thinks.

He tried ignoring the couple at first but due to Sungyeol’s incessant meddling as to why Sungjong was keeping his distance, he decided to dump the idea instead.

“Ya! Lee Sungjong, clean the tables.” Sunggyu began ordering the youngest once again as he placed the dishes on the sink “Wash the dishes as well” at times like this Sungjong would usually let out a loud sigh but for now he didn’t feel like it.

He cleaned the tables just like his hyung ordered him then went towards the sink. Normally, Sungjong would become frustrated and rant about how being a maknae is tiresome and so on and so forth.

“Lee Sungjong, what’s wrong?” hearing his name made him almost drop the plates that he was washing

“Hoya hyung! Don’t do that!” Sungjong placed his hand over his heart that was beating rapidly

Hoya let out a stifled laugh before ruffling the maknae’s hair

“I figured that something might be bothering you since you didn’t whine earlier” he said seriously as he looked intently at Sungjong

“Hyung, do you really think that I’m going to stay immature for the rest of my life?” asked Sungjong using his are-you-serious voice which made Hoya chuckle

“Since when did you start growing up, eh?” said an amused Hoya while Sungjong let out a smirk

“A few weeks ago, when I realized that the only way to happiness is being able to sacrifice something that you hold close to your heart” Sungjong placed the last dish on the shelf before walking away

“Yah, Sungjong! What are you talking about?” asked Hoya who was still trying to process Sungjong’s words

“Its complicated Hyung… you won’t understand” he replied with a smile before going inside their bedroom

Hoya was still taken aback when Dongwoo walked into the room

“Hoaegi! Let’s buy ice cream!” said Dongwoo as he happily linked his arms to Hoya

“Aigoo~ hyung, grow up!” Hoya left the older boy before going to the bathroom

Dongwoo looked puzzled because of Hoya’s action “Did I miss something?”
