Escaping Into The Forest
EXO's Vampire Slayer (Under Construc./Ongoing)You scanned your surroundings behind you once more, checking to make sure that no one was
trailing you. It was risky enough to enter the forest alone, but even riskier when Magion would
come for you sooner or later if he wasn’t dead. After what happened in Vameigh, you knew there
was no way you'd return. Never. Again. You wished you knew who saved you, but that wasn't
going to happen now, there was no turning back at this critical time. You glanced warily into the
forest of thick, endless rows of trees that you would soon cross paths with. You let out a shaky
breath and closed your eyes, then reopening them with determination. I can do it…
Getting into the forest was the easy part, the hard part was making it out alive. There were
dangerous plants that could trap a vampire and numerous witches and trolls who lurked within.
You knew those creatures weren't as strong as vampires, but bypassing them would be a
challenge because they traveled together in packs. The chances of you surviving were slim. You
trudged your feet along the shallow, murky water. From time to time you felt reptiles brush against
your skin and it felt as if many eyes were watching you. You swallowed hard. Just because you
were a vampire didn’t mean you weren’t scared. Quite honestly, you had more fears than fearing
nothing and you hated how it made you feel vulnerable. Maybe that's why I'm in this mess... I'm
nothing but a weakling... Suddenly, a mysterious figure stood nine feet in front of you.
"Look what we've got here... A vampire child? How precious." the troll sneered, every portion
of its body was deformed. His left eye bulged out more than his right and scars were scattered
throughout his body. This thing wasn't going to let you off so easily and you knew that. I have to
make a run for it... You backed away each time the troll took a step closer to you, hoping to run
off at the right moment. "Where do you think you're going, little girl?" the troll questioned. You
reversed your direction and sprinted towards Vameigh. The troll grew furious as he saw you flee.
He tried to catch up, but because of his big build he jogged sluggishly behind you.
Forest thorns created gash marks on your legs and thighs as you ran. It was painful, but your
mind was focused on surviving. I will escape from this place no matter what it takes, I just want
this nightmare to end! You took a quick glimpse over your shoulder to see that the troll was far
behind. You hid nearby, inside of a hollow log, hoping to lose sight of the atrocious monster.
Out of nowhere, the log raised from the ground and titled to one side. You clawed your nails
deeply into the bark, blood running down your fingers, hanging on for dear life. How did he find
me? He wasn’t even close- ”Oh, little girl. You shouldn't underestimate me, I know this forest
like the back of my hands, finding you was nothing…" The troll smirked. "…even if you were far
ahead of me." he continued saying as he dragged you by your hair while you attempted to throw
kicks and punches at him. "Let me go you monster! Let me go!" you cried. He chortled at your
response, "Be quiet or else I’ll kill you here." You stopped talking, not because of what he said,
but because the contact between the ground and your body was growing unbearable. The troll
hauled you to an unknown place. I'm going to die after all... After all my efforts... They meant
nothing...
