Yin Zhang is an orphan that's lived at a hospital since she was 7. For 12 years, she's lived there, wanting to taste the outside world, wanting to see what it was like to be a normal teenage girl, to have friends. She's been locked up, isolated from others because of her disorder.

The disorder where the patient has the hatred of sound. Any little sound-a cough, breath, a certain voice-will set her off. No one knows why, it just happens.

No one wants her. That's why she's at a hospital. After finding out her disorder, her parents left her, not wanting to deal with her.
