With raspy breath and sweat all over your face,

You would glance at your clock sideways,

And you would let out a sigh of relief,

Realizing everything was just a dream—a very long nightmare,

and that every sadness you felt was not real.

Every pain you've undergone could be healed.
 

This was just a dream, you chanted.

But you never wake up on that one time.

Because you never close your eyes all this time,

And you are not sleeping—you are not dreaming—

You are living.
 

You wish the same thing every now and then,

To be able to touch that handsome face with your very hand,

To be able to feel that comforting warmness whenever you feel so spent,

To be able to kiss that pair of bow shaped lips—to touch his velvet skin—

To smell his musky-scented figure on your air.

To love him with all your heart.
 

But you and he are now living in two different worlds,

Too far by distance—too many walls—

Too difficult.

Not allowed to meet,

Forbidden to call each other,

And you wonder how things so right could end up so wrong.

Too indistinct that he could never hear you crying on your lonely nights,
