The Light Within
Description
Chen's life lacked a meaning, a purpose...a light. He wasn't searching for it when it came to him one night as he sat drinking alone. But sometimes in life, the light we find is temporary. A fleeting hope that there is something better beyond our misery in this world until only we can find the light in our lives that lives within us.
Foreword
This is the first Chen/Lay fic that I have written. First EXO one, actually. It is angst, because I don't really like to write anything else and only write fluff when the blot bunnies make me. There is character death, so this is your warning. And I actually really liked how this turned out...which probably means it is garbage.
If there is one thing I have learned on this trip it is the value of life and the thin line that separates it from death. And even in the deepest pit of despair a light can be found...and it is usually found in the form of a child. These things are kind of reflected here.
