For the rest of the night Sung Min stayed wide awake at a complete loss of what to do… She could break up

with Daehyun, after all she never was technically “in love” with him and get married to Min Woo or get the

guts to go against her parents. Both seemed impossible at the moment though…

     Sung Min decided to wait until morning to send a text to you, telling you to meet her at the park swings. When

you finally woke up and saw the text you rushed toward the park. You slowly made your way to your favorite part of

the park, where you had all always played on and went to when distressed, anticipating the problem Sung Min would

soon pour on to you.

     You took the seat next to her and began to slowly swing rhythmically back and forth feeling the air whoosh and

your hair fly behind you. However you couldn't enjoy the moment because the fact that Sung Min didn’t instantly start

talking and venting actually made you nervous, you were about to ask her when she suddenly blurted out that she

would be getting married soon. Your swing stopped instantly and your face hardened for a split second when you

heard she and Daehyun would be official soon and you could do absolutely nothing about it. Not noticing your shock

Sung Min continued by saying, “It gets worse too….It’s to your friend Min Woo not Daehyun…”

     Your jaw dropped and you replied, “Min Woo joh-a-hayo????”

     “What? No! No! Not that way…. My parents just saw him with me yesterday and thought I chose him…” Sung Min

sadly explained….

     “Uhmm…. You can refuse right?”

     “It’s…complicated…” Sung Min replied with a sigh

     “What about Daehyun???”

     “There’s not much I can do….S’ok...I would have strung him along anyway…” Sung Min said with a bitter smile…

     Not knowing how to help her you just hugged your friend and told her you’d help her with anything and

everything possible. Feeling a bit reassured Sung Min decided to text Daehyun and tell him to come by the park later

so they could talk.

     You on the other hand was completely conflicted…help your friend stay with Daehyun and feel your heart break

piece by piece as you saw them be happy together or watch your friend go through marriage with practically a

stranger to her, although Min Woo would make a pretty good husband… Clearing your mind of that thought you

decided to just let Sung Min solve her own issue. Finally the two of us spotted Daehyun as he was walking toward the

park swings and you excused yourself to go get some ice-cream and to give the two time alone, but before that you

gave Sung Min a Fighting pose and encouraging smile.

     On your way to the nearby mini mart to buy the ice-cream you would constantly look back to see how they were

doing, one moment the two would seem happy to see one another and the next moment the two would look

extremely depressed.. You tried your best to stay out of their business but failed horribly, they were your closest

friends and both would end up hurt. Helpless you continued on and bought your favorite flavor, chocolate hoping it

would bring some kind of comfort. You made you back and saw Sung Min bowing 90 degrees to Daehyun who was

trying to look calm when he was obviously hurt. You decided it would be best to wait for one of them to leave first

before you went out, hoping for the least awkward situation.

     Sung Min was the first to leave and so you made your way to where Daehyun was now leaning. You quietly walked

over offering him some ice-cream knowing it was his favorite as well. He declined and asked you to leave, with no

other choice you told him, “If you need someone to talk to or anything else you know I’ll always be here for you

right? Feel better Daehyun-ah” you whispered to him. You saw him nod in acknowledgement as you slowly left him

be.
