@kiwiberry952 They usually take the poor kids who don't have parents. But sometimes a family is so poor, that they send their child off to the place, thinking the child will serve a good purpose and maybe get money. Or sometimes the kids just come, like Ji Eun did :D Did it answer your question? And the parents are not allowed to visit because the institute told them that visiting is interferring with their experiments.
