It all started with our Umma`s Bet!

"Euh hee-ah, eun hee-ah" someone called, i opened one eye to see my umma hovering over me
"Oh, umma" i said and yawn
"wake up, we`re almost there" she said so i sat up and stretched my arms and look out to my window
"Oh" i said and then the airplane wobbled then we landed
"come on dear" my umma said and grabbed my hands as we went out to get our luggages
"here`s your bags" she said as she reached for my trolley and then my two bags
"thanks" i said and settled it on our push carts
"So what is she like?" i asked as i helped her settled her bags on the cart
"Oh, good thing you asked, she`s a real good friend and i heard her SON is such a handsome boy" she said and i pushed the cart
"whatever umma, i wasn`t asking" i said and rolled my eyes
"well, he`s a really good boy and he`s smart and" i cut off my umma
"i wasn`t asking umma, and i`m not interested in any boy" i said
"but why? you`re already 18 it`s legal for you to have a boyfriend and even .. get married" she said and my eyes widen
"Married?! i`m too young umma and beside i`ll get married when i found my real prince charming" i said but she didn`t listen
"Oh look, there`s my friend" she literally ran to her friend and her friend also literally ran, like in the movies
"sheesh" i groaned as i follow her pushing the cart
"Oh my god i missed you so much" they said to each other
"Omo, is that your daughter?" her friend ask and look at me in a LOVING way which was creepy

"Omo, she`s a beauty Soo Jin!" she said
"I know" my umma said
"come here dear, let your aunt hug you" she said so i awkwardly went to her and let her hug me
"There" she said and hug me tight so i hug her back then she let go of me
"so where`s your son?" my umma asked
"Oh yeah, byunghun~" she called then a guy colored hair and i can`t tell if its blonde or brown but whatever
"Yeah umma?" he said and went beside her
"Soo Jin, this is my son, Byunghun" she introduced
"Aigoo, he look`s just like his dad" my umma exclaimed
"Yeah, too bad he was such a jerk and left us" she said
"well, can i hug him?" umma asked
"sure, go~" she said and my umma hug him, he awkwardly hug back
"well it`s good to see you again byunghun" umma said
"you can call me ljoe" he said while our ummas chuckled
"well, ljoe, this is my daughter. Eun Hee" umma said
"Hey" he said
"Hey" i replied then we just stared at each other
CRICKETS .. CRICKETS ..
"Well, let`s go~" his umma said breaking the awkwardness
"so how are you doing?" i heard my umma asked his umma leaving the two of us
"oh, follow us dears" my umma said and we trailed behind them, well i was still pushing the damn cart
"Here, i`ll take this" ljoe said and took the cart from me
"Oh, thanks" i said
"no problem" he said
"so you`re from the states?" he asked
"is my accent that strong? sorry" i said
"nah, it`s okay" he said
"LA, we lived in LA" i said
"cool" he said then once again
CRICKETS .. CRICKETS ..
"byunghun, could you grab their bags and bring it to the car?" his umma called out
"sure" he said
"here, i`ll take this" i said and pulled my bags
"so you live in LA for how many years?" he asked
"for the past 17 years" i said
"So you`re how old?" he asked
"How young" i corrected and both of us chuckled
"18" i said as i put our bags in the trunk
"really? i`m 18 too" he said
"Oh" i said and then he opened the car and i went in
"thanks" i said
"no problemo" he replied as he sat next to me
"so, before we go hom, let`s grab something to eat okay?" his umma said
"`kay" both of us said in unison then our umma`s head snap to us
"Omo, are you getting along well?" my umma asked
"yeah" i answered
"goody~" his umma said and then my umma and his umma looked at each other and smiled
"creepy" ljoe whispered
"i know right" i whispered back
"so what do you both wants to eat?" his umma asked
"burger and fries" we both said in the same time AGAIN and the car stop which almost sent us flying but good thing we have seat belts
"did both of you just said burger and fries at the same time~?" his umma asked
"yeah" both of us said in the same time then our umma`s head snap at us then they look at each other then smiled as they continued drving
"double creepy" i whispered
"tell me about it" he whispered back
"what are you whispering about?" his umma asked looking at us through her mirror
"nothing" both of us said then the car stop once again
"umma, why do you always stop the car when both of us say something in unison then both of you look at each other then smile at each other then drive again?" ljow asked in frustration
"nothing we`re just happy both of you are getting along with each other" my umma said
"yeah~" his umma added
"okay, okay. let`s just go" he said and then we continued driving in SILENCE until we reached McDo
"okay, go in first kids" umma said
"okay" we said in unison and went in McDo
"So burger and fries only?" he asked
"cheese burger, fries and a sundae" i said
"Cool, go find a table" he said and i nodded and found a 4 seats empty table and i sat there waiting for our ummas then i look out of the window and saw our umma in the car leaving
"What the?!" i exclaimed and rush out
"Umma~!" i screamed and oh she saw me but ignored me and took off
"dammit" i said and reached for my phone and dial her number but it was off so i went back and saw ljoe sitting on the table with our orders
"where`d you go? and where`s our ummas?" he asked as he ate his fries
"they left us!" i exclaimed as i sat down
"what?! why would they do that?" he asked as he grab his phone
"i don`t know" i said and ate my fries
"she turned it off" he said
"mine did too" i said
"Well, let`s not worry, i have money. we can take the bus after" he said as he took a bite on his burger
"Well, okay" i said and ate my burger then we talk about each other
"so you have a big sister which is a model?" he asked and i nodded
"sadly yes, Her name`s Lee Minyoung but we call her min" i said
"why sadly?" he asked
"because when she became a model she spend less sister time with me" i pouted as i scoop my ice cream and ate it
"ahahaha you love your sister that much?" he asked
"of course even though we used to fight to get that dress or this shirt, i still love her" i said then he look at my mouth
"what?" i asked
"you have something there" he said and pointed beside his own mouth
"here?" i ask as i grab a tissue and tried to wipe it away
"nah, just kidding" he said and stole 3 pieces of my fries
"hey~!" i whined and he just laugh
"seriously, you do have, here" he said and wipe it for me
"pfft, acting good after stealing my fries" i said and he just laugh
"so don`t you have a sister or brother?" i asked
"sister? no, brothers? yes" he said
"really? how many?" i asked
"well about 5" he said
"what!? you`re many" i said and he laugh
"not blood brothers though" he said
"w-what? i think i lost it" i said
"well, they`re my bestfriends and we treat each other like brothers" he said
"so, you`re an only child?" i asked and he nodded
"Oh okay" i said
"we better get going" he said and i nodded
"let`s go~" i said
-LJOE POV-
"there`s the bus, run" i said and grabbed her hand and we ran towards the bus just in time
"go in" i said and pushed her in the bus and i followed and payed for the fees
"but there`s no room to sit" she said looking around
"and that is why railings are invented" i said and guided her hand on the railing
"like that" i said
"oh okay, so where just going to stand the whole time?" she asked looking up to me
"yeah, don`t you have buses in LA?" i asked
"Nah, i used to ride taxi" i said
"Oh taxi, the yellow one?" i asked and she giggle and nodded
"yep that one, ugh-" she said as her face landed on my chest which spells AWKWARD when the bus aburptly stopped
"s-sorry about that" she said looking down
"Nah, it`s okay. It`s normal" i said trying to ease the awkwardness
"really?" she ask looking up with both of her hands leaning on my chest
"yeah" i said and she smiled
"Oh good" she said, this is so awkward ..
