☆ He clicked on the lighter in his hand. He'd been playing with it for a while as he patiently stood in the shadows and waited.

He didn't want this assignment in the first place. He was a journalist. He took pride in dealing with real news and current affairs on a daily basis. A tiff with his newspaper's editor-in-chief sent him off to the entertainment news staff, the worst thing he had ever dreaded since getting into this career. It was like a death sentence to journalists when you're transferred from headliners to entertainment.

He sighed once again, taking out a cigarette from his coat's inner pocket. He'd picked up a pack from the counter in the office lounge, suddenly feeling the urge to smoke. He placed it in his mouth and flicked the lighter on. He paused before lighting up, thinking long and hard. He had not had a smoke in years, quitting when he met her.

Her. Everything reminded him of her.

Taking it out, he threw the cigarette into a trash can in a corner. He'd better concentrate on the job. The press suddenly moved into action as a limousine came into sight. Everyone scurried to get the best possible position: beside the red carpet.

It was the debut performance for the newest group in town. They were called the Twinklets.

What in the world is a Twinklet?! A twinkling bracelet?! he thought to himself as he adjusted his camera strap.
He will never understand show business. It was one of the main reasons why he was a journalist now, and not a musician. He shook his head at that thought.

Don't go there Yonghwa. That was a life you've left behind. Better forget all about it.

He sighed again. This night was startiing to be one full of memories better left forgotten. Breathing in deeply, he shoved his way through the sea of people and stood right in front of the red carpet.

He didn't want this assignment, but he was still going to do his best with it. He wanted to get back on the news team, where the real journalism is. If this assignment was his test to get back, then his editor would be kissing his later tonight when he returns to the office. This would be the first and last entertainment news he'll cover. He'll make sure of it.

The fans started screaming as the limousine came to a stop right in front of the red carpet. Yonghwa adjusted his camera lenses and got ready to take photos. The car door opened and the press surged forward once more. His height and size gave him the advantage he needed. No one could push him away from his position. Lights flashed all around as the first Twinklet came out.

"Taeyon-ssi, Taeyon-ssi! Here, here! Look here!"
"Oh my, Taeyon-ssi you're so beautiful! Smile here please!?!"

Yonghwa concentrated on taking his shots as the celebrity waved to the fans and the press.

Not bad, he thought. She's cute. Too short for my taste, though.

Clicking away, he focused on the next Twinklet coming out of the car.

"Tiffany-ssi! oh my goodness, Tiffany-ssi! A wink here please?!"
"Beautiful smile Tiffany-ssi, look over here please!?"

Hmmm... Great smile. And that wink can definitely cause hearts to stop. But still, too short for my taste.

Someone shoved Yonghwa on the side. He shoved back and continued taking pictures.

No one's compromising this assignment for me. I will get back on the news team with these awesome pictures! 

He zoomed his lens onto the car door again as a pair of long, slender legs slowly came out, one at a time.

Wow, nice legs, he thought. He slowly trailed the lens up those legs as he waited for the third and last Twinklet. Her head was bowed as she slowly got out of the car. She finally stood up and waved to the crowd.

Yonghwa's heart stopped. He forgot all about taking pictures as he slowly brought down the camera and stared at her. His jaw dropped.

It was her.



"Seohyun-ssi! Oh my goddess, Seohyun-ssi please! Smile here sweetheart!"

Yonghwa continued staring as she turned her head around, her hair flipping fabulously. Memories of drowning in those long, thick locks came rushing into his head, making him dizzy.

This is NOT happening. Why now, tonight of all nights?! he thought.

Suddenly regaining his senses, he took shots of Seohyun as she continued smiling shyly and waving at the crowd and the press. His hands were shaking as he barely took control of his camera. She was walking slowly but was nearing where he was standing. Yonghwa brought up a hand to his forehead as he looked down to the ground and felt a headache coming on. This was too much for his sensibilities right now.

He began rubbing his temples when he noticed a pair of beautiful feet encased in sparkling stilletos stop in front of him. He heard a small gasp before hearing a strongly familiar phrase being whispered by the voice he'd recognize anytime, anywhere..

"Yonghwa oppa?!"

His hand shook as he took it off his head. He slowly raised his eyes from the ground to look at the blinding beauty in front of him.

It was really her.

Damn. Just when I thought I was over you, Seohyun-ah... Here you are.

He stared into the depths of those sparkling eyes, eyes that were as honest as the day he met her. However, the same honest eyes now took on a hint of sadness as she stared back at him in shock.

He never should have come here.
