(Bom's POV)

*8 yrs ago (when Bom was 10 yrs old)*

"Mum! Can I study music when I grow up?" I asked my mum while smiling. "Of course not! Don't even think about it! Focus on your studies instead of wasting intelligence and time" My smile faded, faded into a frown. I've always wanted to sing and be near music everyday, it was my dream, but my parents don't want me to, they think it's a waste of time. That was when I met a boy named Lee Hongki at school. He was always off to dreamland when the class is doing maths or english etc but when it comes to music, he would always do his best. He was always talking about music, I guess he was the one who inspired me. Not long after I became close friends with him, I never told my parents I was friends with Hongki, because they would just say that he's a bad influence on me.

"Bom, I have good news for you! We are moving to America!" Mum said. I wasn't happy, instead I was sad, I had to leave my best-friend, the person who was always there when I needed someone to talk to.

(Hongki's POV)

"You're leaving to America? For how long?" I asked Bommie, who had her head facing downwards, looking like she was about to cry. "Probably half of my high school life" She said in a shivering voice. "Let's make a promise" I suggested. "Promise that the next time we meet each other again, our dreams will remain the same or even achieved, promise that you will never ever give up on singing" I put out my pinky and linked it with hers. "promise me the same".
