My mother told me one thing when they said I could debut soon, that starting then, I would be holding a great responsibility. That I would have not only mine or my group’s image to protect, but also my family’s. Being so young, I thought it meant I simply had to behave properly and must never cause trouble. Not that it was a difficult matter though. That was how I was brought up.

And I am forever most grateful for that.

Well, and music, of course.

I was not particularly interested in singing. There were things that intrigued me more when I was younger. Playing the piano and reading books, for one, were my getaways. But then, one day, while going out with mother, these 'uncles' approached us and gave mother their business cards. The next thing I knew, I got to this building where they asked me to sing. And from that day on I would go there and practice singing, dancing.. even speaking - I had never liked that last lesson though, but everyone in that class was so funny, so I ended up coming everytime. Oh, they let me learn the piano further too!

Before I knew it, I fell in love with this new world of vocals and music.

I met so many people in the company. Jungsoo sunbae, who took a great care of all his hoobaes. Hyoyeon eonni, who danced so well, yet somehow kept on bickering with Hyukjae sunbae - I never understood why though, when they were just so similar in a way. Changmin sunbae, who was always busy, yet still had time to visit us sometimes. Hwanhee, who was my only same-aged friend. Ah, Jongwoon sunbae too, he had this wonderful voice.. I really adored him for that.

It was tiring indeed. But I enjoyed every single bit of my training period. Was not a smooth road, I know, but it was worth it.

Soon enough, it was my third year training. Almost fourth, actually. I got to the company earlier as school ended early. Not many people were there yet as training sessions usually started in the afternoon.

I was about to enter the dance studio, when I heard a sobbing sound from the inside. I took a little peek and saw this unfamiliar figure. I had never really seen around him before. A new trainee perhaps. I encouraged myself to talk to him - weird, since I was not the type who would start a conversation, particularly with a crying stranger.

“My father said guys should not cry.” I said slowly, trying to lift up the mood. “At least not when somebody else is watching.”

He stood up in an instant and turned his head to me. He looked at me for a while, before patting my head softly. “Oh, sorry, I’ve just been having bad days lately.” He smiled a little, but I could see through his painful stare. He left soon after, and right at that moment, I regretted myself for always fooling around during the speaking classes.

I remember a few seconds after that, Ryeowook sunbae passed by the studio.

“Oh, Joohyun-ah, long time no see. How are you? Ah, by any chance, did you see Kyuhyun? He said he would be practicing dancing.. Ah you probably did not, right? Just where did that kid go. Well, I need to get going. See you, Joohyunnie!”

I stood still. Did he just say Kyuhyun? The Kyuhyun??

I hurried and shouted at Ryeowook sunbae.

“He just left, sunbae!”

“Really? Thanks, Joohyun!”

So, basically, this will be some sort of a memory lane for Seohyun.. This first chapter is about their first meeting. Kyuhyun only trained for two months before joining Super Junior, so I reckon it was very likely that the two rarely met before. And since Seohyun was only 15, while Kyuhyun was already 19, I think he would think of her as a little dongsaeng at first. I did some research on the timings and stuff, so I hope the time frame turned out well and consistent.. Although I did say earlier that this will be based on them holding hands at the ending of Google KPOP Concert thing at SF few days ago, I just thought it would be better to provide some background story :p I just hope it wouldn't be dragged too long :(

Well then, there you go, my first EVER chapter! :p What do you think? Just one person reading this, would make me fly up so high already :D

I will try to update soon :) It's my final exams in two weeks time.

And I assume I will be getting stressed out a lot during this period.
