“I love you, Shim Changmin”

I said calmly as I ate the blueberry cheesecake. I didn’t look at him; I was fully concentrating at the plate in front of me. From the corner of my eyes, I could see he stopped drinking his latte and put the cup at the table.

Silence.

“I am sorry… wh-what?” he coughed and changed his sitting position.

“What?” I talked back to him.

He moved closer to me. His elbows were in the table, held his body, reducing the space between him and me.

“Say it again. You are what?”

“I love you”

He blinked with shocked expression. He looked at me in the eye, and from this close distance I couldn’t look away, so I looked back at him. It seemed like we’re having a staring contest, when we both were actually trying to read other’s mind.

“Are you…serious? You are really in love… with me?”

I looked away and continued eating my cheesecake again, ignoring his curious look.

“Were you that shocked knowing the fact that I love you?” I asked him calmly while leaning my back to the chair.

“I never knew you love me. I don’t even think that you might like me…” he slowly answered. “Since when…did you love me?”

I smiled a bit. Glad that he didn’t realize my smile. But… Oh God, I couldn’t handle it. I wanted to laugh right now! I should stop it.

“Choi Sooyoung, are you being serious right now?” he looked at me again.

I nodded.

“I’m being serious of course… Pffft. Seriously kidding you! It’s April fools, you silly! Hahahaha. Oh my God… Were you really believe it?!”

I couldn’t stop laughing. Changmin face quickly changed, from shy, shock, timid, to shock again. I knew, he’s going to scold me… but I didn’t care. I just laughed, covering my mouth with my palm while enjoying his shock face. He sat idly in his chair.

I started to feel bad but I couldn’t stop laughing. So while closing my mouth, I tried to apologize to him.

“Changmin… I’m sorry, but… Pfffft. You’re just too funny… Ok, sorry… I was just playing with you… Pffft”

“I love you too, Sooyoung”

I stopped laughing.
