“Talk to him.  Assure him that he’ll always have you.  I don’t get it? What is so special about you, huh Hyukjae-shi?” Haist! That fish needs attention all the time, you should now that by now”—Heechul

“But I didn’t do anything wrong? I didn’t even get mad or anything. I was just talking to Siwon and Khyu, but everybody was there too.  He could’ve joined in with the conversation”--- Hyukjae

“You know that Hae isn’t exactly talkative.  He only talks when it’s the 2 of you or when we force him too. “--- Heechul

“I understand that.  But it was just us.  He needs to loosen up.  He was able to make it through Taiwan without me”—Hyukjae

“I don’t care.  Just fix this problem.  No one will be able to do it except you! Besides, it’s almost your birthday, I’m sure he’s feeling guilty more and more each day”--- Heechul

“Ok hyung.  Oh and thanks for reminding me that I’m getting older in a few days”---Hyukjae

“You’ll be in Paris by that time, so no more gifts from me”---Heechul

“Araso”…

A few more days before Donghae, Hyukjae and Shindong fly to Paris and Hyukjae still can’t figure out how to approach his bestfriend.  Donghae’s been agitated for the past few days, mainly because he wanted to celebrate Hyuk’s bday in Paris but isn’t sure if the older guy would even want to celebrate it with him.

Donghae couldn’t hold it much longer.  He’s been having sleepless nights since he decided to avoid Hyuk and he just couldn’t imagine being in Paris on his bestfriend’s birthday and not being able to be with him.

It was almost past 3am.  He peaked through Hyukjae’s room and when he heard that he was snoring, he slid himself next to Hyukjae and back hugged him.  Hyuk felt the grip from his waist but decided to pretend to be sleeping. 

“I’m sorry Hyukkie for being so stubborn.  I don’t like it when we’re fighting.  I’m sorry for acting stupid around you.  I can’t afford you getting mad at me. “---Hae whispered, in between sobs.

By this time, Hyukjae held Hae’s hands.  Still not facing Hae, he said in a low voice, just enough for Donghae to hear…

“I will be here Hae, no matter what.  You’ll always have me.  But you have to relax a little.  Learn to have fun with the other members too.  You know they love you as much as I love you, right?”

Donghae now is bawling his eyes out.  Hyuk’s shirt is already soaking wet from his tears.  He was relieved that Hyukjae wasn’t mad at him.  But he knows that he needs to change too.  He will not loose his best friend.
