The chirping of the birds and the golden rays of the sun was the first thing you encountered as you wake up. You happily hopped out of your bed and headed towards the shower. You gleefully sang and flashbacks of you and Xander ran through your mind...

-FLASHBACK-

Xander was running towards you to give you something when he saw you being bullied by some kids.

"Min Jee has no father! He left because of Min Jee! Hahaha. Poor you!" one of the boys teased.

"So what if I have no father? And he didn't leave because of me!" You said, fighting back tears.

"Awwwww the tough girl is about to cry! Omo. Where's the strong heart inside? Did it left together with your father? Hahahahaha!!!!" 

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" You yelled, letting out a tear. You tighten your grip and punched one one the boys.

Xander came running and calmed you down.

"All of you leave at once or I'll break your bones!" He scared the boys. I guess he frightetened them because they went scurrying away from us.

"Oppa! I could defend myself you know! You don't have to scare them!" You groaned.

"Min Jee-ah. It's okay to cry and it's okay to be weak sometimes. You don't have to act tough in front of those guys."

"But oppa..." You finally gave in and burst out crying. He hugged you tightly.

"There there. Just let it out Min Jee-ah." He patted you on your back.

"Oh wait, I forgot that I have to give you this." Alexander said as he grabbed something from his pocket. It was a cute heart-shaped locket with you and your bestfriend, Xander in it.

"Always wear this, okay? So that when I'm not around to protect you, this will be the one to do so." He smiled.

"Oppa is so childish." You said as you giggled.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

You couldn't help but smile while reminiscing those moments. You held onto the necklace that Xander gave you. You quickly fixed your things and headed outside. The taxi is already waiting.

"Min Jee-ah! Are you ready?" Your mom asked.

"I'm ready mom! Now let's go! I'm totally pumped up today!" 

Your mom chuckled. "Okay then, let's go!"

You hopped in the taxi and immediately shoved your headset to your ears. You listened to U-KISS' When Love Stops. It was your all-time favorite song. You drifted to dreamland until you noticed that you've arrived and it's already dark.

"We're here!" Your mom excitedly said. You bursted out the door and quickly headed for the Eusebio's home. You were overly eager to see your bestfriend without noticing that a car was speeding towards you. Luckily, someone had grabbed your hand just in time. You opened your eyes and realized that you were in someone's arms. It was Alexander. You were staring at each other's eyes and you felt your cheeks turning red.

"Yah! Watch where you're going! You're lucky I didn't hit you!" The driver interrupted.

"Mianhaeyo." Xander bowed.

"Aish. Next time tell that girl to look before crossing the street!" The driver said before scooting off.

"Yah Min Jee-ah. You never changed. You're still very clumsy!" Xander teased, slapping your shoulder.

"Oppa!!!!!!! Stop teasing me! Anyways, I'm so happy to see you again!" You uttered while bear-hugging him.

He laughed. "Aigoo, had Min Jee been eating too much? It seems like you had gotten heavier!" 

"Oppa. I told you to stop teasing me!" You pouted.

"Araso. I missed you too Min Jee-ah. Now let's go inside before we talk!" 

You went inside and fixed you things.

"Min Jee, you will sleep together with Vicky, araso?" Mrs. Eusebio told me.

"Araso, Aunt Chungmi!" You answered as you flashed a big smile. Vicky is Xander's twin sister. Although you are also close, you're more comfortable with Alexander. 

You went upstairs to meet Vicky but you heard a laugh. It wasn't a happy laugh, but rather an evil one. You gulped and knocked on the door.

"Uhh, hey Vicky? I'm here!!!" You nervously said.

"Oh Min Jee-ah! Come in, the door's open!" She changed her tone immediately.

"Hey Vick! Long time no see! Uh, I just wanna ask something but, why were you laughing just a while ago?"

"Oh that? Nothing. I'm just formulating an evil plan. Hahaha."

"Uhhhhh okay...?" You stared at her weirdly.

"So your bed will be that one!" She said, pointing to the bed on the other side of the room.

"Umm okay...." You replied. You still wondered why Vicky was laughing evilly a while ago. 

"Sooo .... I'll go downstairs. Will you come with me?"

"You go ahead! I'll go down later!" She smirked.

"Uhh sure...." You went out of the room and she started laughing again. You couldn't help but think why was she acting strange.

"Min Jee-ah! Come down quick!" You mom called you.

"Okay! I'm coming!"

-DOWNSTAIRS-

"Look what I have!!!" Your mom happily said as she held a school uniform infront of you.

"Uh mom, is that for me?" You curiously asked.

"Of course babo! Now that we have moved to the city, you will also be transferring to another school!"

"Bwoh? But first day of classes starts tomorrow!"

"Don't worry. I already took care of that!" Your mom responded.

"And besides, you'll be in the same school with me!" Alexander beamed as he wrapped his hand around your shoulder. 

You smiled. You felt comfortable and protected around him. 

"Let's eat!" Aunt Chungmi said.

You didn't realized you were hungry until Aunt Chungmi declared dinner. While you ate, you chatted about your personal life.

"So Min Jee-ah, do you have a boyfriend already?" Uncle Anthony said.

You almost choked at the sudden question. You coughed hard and drank water.

"Errr.. Umm.. I'm sorry?" You replied, finally recovering.

"I was just asking if you already have a boyfriend? I mean, you're of age to have one. And besides, you're beautiful. It's impossible that you don't have one, right?" Your uncle asked with concern.

"A-aniyo. I don't have a boyfriend. I never had one. And finding one is not really on my mind right now." You answered.

You caught Alexander smiling after you said you never had a boyfriend.

"Oppa, why are you smiling all of a sudden?" 

"Ehh? I wasn't. You're imagining things." He quickly erased the expression in his face.

You shrugged and continued eating. After finishing your food, you went upstairs to change into your pajamas. You had a long day so you said you'd be sleeping now. You lay on your bed thinking about so many things....

*Your POV*

"My first day staying in the Eusebio's house was quite interesting. First, I almost got hit by a car. Well, that was supposed to be life-threatening, not interesting, but what made it amusing was Alexander grabbed my hand before the car hit me. I stared into his gray eyes, which made me blush. Who wouldn't blush in a situation like that? Even I, who is kind of boyish would. Well, many things had changed since we last met. But now, I'm just happy to see my bestfriend again." I let out a heavy sigh. I'm excited for tomorrow. I have never been this excited in my life. I would be in the same school with Alexander. I hope I can meet few friends there. Ahhh ... Better sleep now, I don't want to be late tomorrow!!!!

*Alexander's POV*

"I didn't expected that our first meeting for how many years would be me saving her from danger. Good thing I snatched her hand in time. I glared at her face. She was still as beautiful as ever. And she blushed when we stared at each other's eyes. Could it be... Ani. It can't be. I mean, any girl would blush if that happened to them. *sigh* and oh, she also said she never had a boyfriend! I let out a smile when she said that. But I quickly changed my mood and continued eating. Well, tomorrow would be our first day in school together. Although we had attended the same school in kindergarten, but that was a long long time ago. I'm excited to introduce her to my friends. I really hope she'll meet new friends there. You know, nobody had never liked her and I really wonder why. Maybe because she easily heats up. But aside from that, she is a kind-hearted girl. Unfortunately, only few sees the true Min Jee. Nevertheless, I'm glad that she's here again. Maybe there's a bigger chance of telling my feelings to her. I know now is not the right time, but soon, I'll have the courage to tell her I love her more than a friend. Without ruining our friendship, of course. I know that'd be hard. But what should I do? I don't like to keep this for long. She'll understand me, will she?"
