The door quietly opened, revealing a rather handsome individual. An indifferent look on his face as he wiped the sweat off that dripped from his forehead. Your scent lingered all around the apartment, along with your presence. He exhaled deeply, his heart still racing a million miles per minute due to his long work out. Closing his eyes for a moment, he dropped his gym bag before he opened his eyes and stared at the little kitchenette.

“Oppa!” he heard you call out from the kitchenette. Staring at it, he couldn't help but smile as he watched himself appear right next to you, shirtless none the less, since you had stolen his shirt and wore it instead. That same smile was also on his transparent self, as he strolled on and you immediately giggled when he embraced you. Your hands pressed on his chest as he pulled you into a sensual kiss, your lips instantly curved upwards before you ran your hands down his front and s them around his delicious waist.

The ghostly figures blew away, allowing him to return to reality. Cursing at himself, Yunho dragged his tired body to his bedroom. Slightly angry, he removed his thin jacket before he peeled off his workout shirt, leaving him bare from waist up. Grabbing the same shirt, he wiped his sweating face before he carelessly threw it to the growing pile in his hamper. For just a moment, he plopped down on his messy bed, his legs spread in front of him as he rested his elbows on his knees. Propping his chin on his laced fingers, he stared at his reflection with the same blank eyes. Again, that ghostly figure of you returned, appearing right behind him as you embraced his neck from behind, your chin resting on his broad shoulders. The was a loving smile on your lips as you leaned forward and whispered in his ear.

He stood up, your ghost disappearing like smoke as he walked over to his bathroom to take a long shower. Stripping himself, he stepped into the shower, letting the hot water relax his tense muscles.

“Oppa! Hurry up! I don't want to miss out on that dinner you promised me!”

“I'm hurr—” he stopped himself from finishing that sentence. Growling, his hand formed into a fist and he couldn't help but punch his wall. He did it again. He was allowing his hallucinations get the better of him and he actually responded to a voice that was no longer there.

He began to hurry with his shower, his mind wandering as he tried to suppress any thing that reminded him of you. Though, he had a very hard time with that since everything revolved around you. He silently turned off the water, grabbing a nearby towel as he wrapped it around his waist. He quickly looked at his watch, staring at the time before he shook his head and carelessly dropped his watch back on the bathroom counter. Yunho was just about to open the door before he heard a light clank echo quietly on the floor. Turning around, Yunho's eyes widen as he bent down and picked up the tiny piece of jewelry that fell on the tile.

A ring. A simple engagement ring he had bought for you with the little money he had on him. A lump had appeared in his throat and he swallowed hard. The ring now laying on his palm and he couldn't help but ball that same hand into a fist, clutching it. He had no reason to keep it, you were long gone but he never seemed to have the heart to just throw it away. He often thought about selling it, but he often found excuses to push it off. Maybe there that tiny thread of hope that perhaps you'd appear at his doorstep. But that was just plain impossible. You were gone. You were never going to come back. And every damn day, he'd constantly have to tell himself that.

Placing the ring on his desk, Yunho hurried to go get ready. Grabbing his nicest suit he could find, he hurried to slip that on before he checked himself in the mirror. Satisfied with his look, he fixed his tie, remembering the little procedure you had once told him.

“Oppa,” you laughed as you stood in front of him and fixed his messy tie, “It's not like that, here... Let me show you.”

Yunho couldn't help but bitterly laugh at the little memory, a slight migraine forming before he looked away and rubbed his temples. He really needed to stop that, his memories of you were going to be the end of him. Blinking back the headache, he hurried back over to his bathroom, popping some Excedrin before he unconsciously walked over to his desk and grabbed the ring.

Jaejoong was annoying. Well, not really, but at the moment, Yunho couldn't help but feel annoyed. His best friend was practically bouncing around like a jack rabbit on crack, showing off the pictures of his one and only baby girl that was recently born. He already ran over to him five times that night, asking if he had seen the picture of his daughter. The first three times was... Cute, but when he came around the fourth and fifth time, now that was just plain pushing it.

“Yunnie~!” Jaejoong called out, causing Yunho to turn around.

“Jaejoong, for the last time... I've seen Raena—” his voice suddenly trailed when he caught sight of something utterly cruel. Standing right next to Jaejoong, was no one other then you with a baby in your arms... His best friend's baby.

“_____-ah, you remember Jung Yunho?” Jaejoong grinned softly, “My best man~”

“And your best friend,” you answered with a smile as you tried to balance a sleeping child in your arms, while trying to shake Yunho's hand, “Yunho-ssi, it's nice to see you again.”

“Likewise,” was all Yunho could say without sounding like he was just about ready to fall apart at the moment.

For the next ten or fifteen minutes, he managed to keep his composure around you. It was heartbreaking to say the least, but with a bittersweet smile, he slipped away from you and Jaejoong and managed to make his way over to the back patio, which had the romantic view of the lake. With a strong drink in one hand and the engagement ring in the other hand, he leaned against the metal bars, his eyes staring at the lake, which seemed to be moving gently. The moon shone brightly, adding a glittery effect to the lake.

“It's better this way, right _____-ah?” he questioned angrily as he stared down at the ring and clutched it in his fist once again, “It's better for you to not remember the ing who almost killed you that night...”

He unfortunately remembered that night. The party. The drinks. The cheating. The argument. The fighting. The crying. The moment you ripped the ring from your finger and threw it at him. The moment you hurried and packed up whatever you could in a duffel bag. His drunken form telling you that you'll just be back. His cocky and hurtful attitude toward you. Your tear strained face as you ran out of the apartment and stumbled into your car. Those three heart shattering words you screamed at him before you drove off. Then... The car accident that almost cost you your life. But miraculously, only cost you your memory.

Yunho smirked as he looked at the ring one last time, before he chugged the rest of his drink and with every ounce of strength he had, threw the ring into the lake.

Let it go, Jung Yunho... It's better this way...
