Chapter 2

The Man and The Loser

The Man and the Loser

Dream Machine

Rays of light were starting to reach Sungmin's eyes, making him groan. The lasting effects of the alcohol had been long gone and as soon as he opened his eyes, the pounding headache began. Ignorning the throbbing pain within his head, he looked around. This definitely didn't look like his apartment. Walls were painted a dark green and the sheets that he must have slept on were an olive green that matched nicely with the interior. Panic started to rise but when he looked over to the other side of the bed, half expecting a person to be there, he saw no one. He also saw that he was still in the same clothes from last night meaning that he wasn't stripped or anything of the sort.

Kangin heard the shuffling noises from the bedroom and got up from the couch. Yes that is right, he was a gentleman last night and took the couch so that Sungmin wouldn't freak out. He brought out the medication, some food, and water, neatly balancing it on a tray. The older man walked slower, just to make sure nothing would fall from the try. Kangin cursed quietly though as he heard the floorboards creak beneath his feet. During this time, Sungmin could feel his stomach start to churn. The bunny-boy brought a hand to his mouth and covered it, begging that he wouldn't puke all over a stranger's bed. Kangin saw this action and motion for Sungmin to follow him. He made sure to walk at a normal pace, running would surely cause the other man to projectile vomit. Once Kangin brought Sungmin to the toilet, he let the other empty the contents of his stomach. The dark-haired man, feeling awkward at this point, decided to stand outside the bathroom door.

Sungmin was sure glad that he was able to keep it in before he got to the bathroom, otherwise this whole situation would have gotten a lot worse. There were a couple of dry heaves after what he felt like he got everything out but once those stopped, he stood up and wipe the corners of his mouth with the back of his hand. The older man from the bar last night was standing outside the door. Sungmin blinked at him for a while, just staring. Kangin felt those eyes on him, did his best to ignore them but he looked over and was starting to feel nervous all of a sudden. He turned around and gave Sungmin a disgruntled look.

"H-Hey! Don't look at me like that! I didn't do anything to you. All I did was bring you here since you were asleep when I brought you to my car so I couldn't figure out where you lived and..." Kangin explained, feeling himself start to ramble.

Being the polite boy that Sungmin was, he couldn't help but grin at Kangin.

"It's ok. Thank you!" he said with a laugh at Kangin's rambling.

Kangin could feel a blush starting to creep its way onto his cheek. He turned away, mumbling out a "No problem" and lead Sungmin back to the bedroom that he was in before. He pointed to the tray of supplies that would help make the blonde haired boy feel better.

"Take two of those pills with water and then eat the rice porridge there so you don't get any more headaches and heave your food all back up." Kangin commanded rather than offered.

Sungmin couldn't help but chuckle at Kangin's rather flustered state. It reminded him of almost a fatherly figure where as Leeteuk from the bar was more motherly. The thought of those two being parents only made him continue to laugh. Kangin, who was incredibly confused at this point, crossed his arms annoyed.

"Hey! What the heck is so funny?" Kangin huffed.

Sungmin's laughter died down and he smiled at Kangin again.

"It's a secret~" he said in a sing-song voice.

Kangin just looked off to the side, figuring he wouldn't get any kind of answer from Sungmin. The blonde-haired boy looked at him rather curiously.

"Ah... Mister... now that I think about it, I never did get your name..." Sungmin started off.

Kangin looked at Sungmin from the corner of his eye, his arms still crossed. "It's Kim Young-Woon. But everyone just calls me Kangin." he introduced.

"Oh ok, Thanks for all the help Kangin-sshi. I'm Lee Sungmin."

"Just... call me Kangin... adding on an honorific like that makes me sound old..." Kangin trailed off.

"Kangin-hyung it is then!" Sungmin said with a laugh.

Kangin sighed in defeat. Was it really ok to have Sungmin over like this?

A/N: I apologize about the short chapter. I just want some things organized so that things can move more fluidly plot-wise. Thanks to any subscribers c:
