A FEW YEARS AGO

“You can do it, don't worry,” Yuri told Donghae as she pat his shoulder.

Donghae smiled at her. “Let's just hope for the best.”

It was audition day, and Donghae and Yuri went together.

They have always been there for each other.

Yuri waited for a few minutes, and then Donghae came out.

She stood up excitedly. “So how did it go?”

Donghae showed her a sad expression.

“Hae?”

He smiled afterwards. “I'm now an official tainee!”

Donghae hugged Yuri tightly as they jumped around.

“Congratulations, I knew you'll ace it!” Yuri exclaimed.

Donghae beamed. “I couldn't have done it without you.”

AFTER ONE YEAR

Donghae and Yuri are still together.

They have separate jobs now, Yuri is in a girl band and Donghae at a boy band.

One day, Donghae decided to meet with Yuri.

“What's up, Hae?” Yuri asked.

They met at a restaurant.

Donghae was looking down.

“Yuri-ah,” he started, making Yuri listen eagerly.

Donghae sighed. “I'm...breaking up with you.”

Yuri then showed a blunt expression.

Tears fell down on her face.

“Why?” was all she could say.

Donghae looked at her.

“We haven't had time for ourselves lately. You and I need to focus on our music.”

Yuri nodded. “I know.”

Donghae held her hand. “But...I will always love you.”

“I will always love you, too, Donghae,” Yuri tried hard to smile.

Yuri stood up. “Goodbye, Hae.”
