Last Chance at Love

Description

High palaces seem empty without you...

Endless time seems pointless if you're not here...

My life is drained of love when you left...

I want you back...

Back to how we used to be...

Back to when my life was blissful...

Joyful...and filled with images of you....

The method of love was wrong...

My Love for you was it wrong too?...

Still I can't lose you...

Can I redo things?

Fix these broken promises...

Make us happy again?

Or can I at least die trying?

If that's what it takes then try I will...

Foreword

The silence that was present inside the room felt deafening as the two men looked at each other, both clueless as to what should be done for the situation. The silence seemed to go on forever until the older man, rubbing his face, sighed and began to spoke. The sudden movement caused the smaller man to raise his brow, and gaze at the other with an almost angry and hurt expression. "I guess this is it" the taller man spoke, his voice holding back the tears. "I tried Jae, I really tried," he stopped and closed his eyes, forcing the memories back.

That wasn't it for Jae though. He stood up and slammed the table. "Try?!" Jae yelled, his tone hurt and angry. The voice boomed inside the closed room. "You never tried . It was always me. You always thought about yourself. You think the things you did were right? You think you tried? What did you ever do? Yeah, you provided for me. Yeah, my life was better than when I was a struggling Art major, but I was never happy. NEVER. I was always neglected. You showed me love I could never feel or even see. All the gossip from people, all their lies about me, never once did you defend me. That's it. I understand now, and you're right. It really is over now. I'm done. I'm sick of your excuses, and your futile attempts of affection."

After the outburst, the older man was left speechless. Was the way he cared wrong? Did Jae never feel anything? Didn't he try?

Jaejoong stood up, swallowed the tears that were threatening to fall and quickly left the room. After slamming the door, he sunk onto the ground outside.

Behind the door, Jaejoong whimpered as he let his tears fall over and over again. He curled his legs and let himself cry, and it felt like peices of his heart dropped to the ground helplessly. "You never once tried to hold me back Yunho, not even once. Your stupid pride..." He murmured through the tears. His heart constricted and released as the pain spread throughout his body. He couldnt imagine life without his love. Even in pain he felt right, even when his heart was shattered, and his brain left him near insanity, he liked it. To see Yunho walk into the house at night, the tall figure that lay beside his him every night, and the hands that made him feel warm as they held him. Even if it hurt, he told himself that it was worth it, that Yunho would change.

Yunho was sitting in his chair, as he remembered the good times before these endless pains. The times when they held hands and walked the streets. The days where they just held each other and ran around the house, days where they did nothing but were still content and happy. He smiled, thinking of that day when he and Jae had decided to go hiking.

"Yunnie!" the little man yelled for the hundredth time that day. "I'm tired, why did you even wanna do this?!"

Jae stopped, with a big pout on his face. The one that made Yunho want to eat him alive right in the middle of the trail.

Yunho held a smirk, "It was suppose to help your body, so you won't whine like this when we do outdoor activities. Also, I can tire you out so you can't fight me later." He winked at Jae as he walked towards Yunho and hit his chest as his pout broke into an annoyed grin.

"We are not doing anything tonight if you don't carry me up this path to the campsite," Jae demanded,"You will sleep ALONE." He said as he glared through his smile, his nose held high.

Yunho grinned at him, "So if I carry you, you'll let me do something?"

He eyed Jae as the man shyly grinned at Yunho, "Okayyy! It's a deal!" Yunho yelled, as he ran towards a startled Jae. He lifted him up and carried him swiftly up the mountain, and they both laughed the rest of the way.

Yunho laughed at the image of his lover's dorkiness, while bitter tears spilled. Tears can only be held if you don't care about the person. As long as you still want them and feel lost without them, the tears cant be held back. But Yunho had lost, he didnt even know when the battle had even began. All those cold glances and one word answers... He thought Jae was simply having a bad week. He didn't even bother to ask because was too busy with everything else.

He didnt think he did anything wrong. 'I just loved him in a diferent way than he needed' He thought. 'If the hands of time could rewind, I would love you in every way possible.' He put his head on the table. 'My way of loving you wasn't right. You didn't recieve my love, and I don't deserve yours.' He sighed as he imprinted on the table. His fist came into contact with the wooden surface. 'But i don't want to let you go like this. I can't.. I will die.' He looked up with a bitter smile. 'You , it took you all this time to see that really?'

He grabbed the handle, 'I am gonna get back ur heart Jae, and this time I'll make you feel more love than ever before.'

The door opened, "Jae...." Yunho began.
