Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover
Description
PREVIOUSLY TITLED: Of Prom & Love
Prom. The word needs no introduction. Upon hearing this particular word, your mind fills with images good and bad. In front of your eyes, an entire scene opens. The glamour of the ball gowns contrasting against the sophisticated red carpet dresses, both out of place among the sea of bodycon dresses that seem more like skin than clothing. The elegance of prom has been lost. The sophistication and class of gracefully floating across the floor with a handsome partner has been replaced by loud club music and emotionless grinding. But fear no more. I will change all of that.
Foreword
Hello. Perhaps I should introduce myself before I continue much further. I am Kwon Hyemi. The chances of you having heard my name before is extremely high. Why? Because I am the IT girl on campus. I am the optimistic class president that everyone knows of, regardless of whether or not they like me. Generally, girls liked me better than guys. Girls like that I basically represent old-fashion fun, no drinking, smoking, anything of that sort. I was innocent and good. Remember that word carefully; was. I still am a lot of what I used to be, but now, I have a new side. A side I only show with him; this tough new side that comes out because he brings it out in me. I stand up for myself, and I am...well, mean. I am more daring and brave. Dear reader, as you continue to flip through my story, will you wait to judge me until the end? I promise you; you will not be disappointed.
