“What does she mean?!” Donghae asked out loud as he stared at his phone, looking at her last text

“She? Who are you texting?” Jessica looked at her fiancée from the bed she was lying on

“Just a friend…” Donghae muttered

“Make sure she knows you’re taken…” Jessica put her arms around his waist

“Finally!” Donghae exclaimed as a call came through

“Yoona? Yoong tell me why you ignore my texts and when you did reply you said that I didn’t know or something… Yoona?” Donghae answered

“Uh sorry mate it’s Kyu…”

“I’m waiting for Yoona to reply!! Why are you calling me?!” Donghae yelled

“Oh well she is here with me now if you want to talk to her…” Kyuhyun voice trailed off for a moment, “on second thoughts, she isn’t available anymore…”

“She doesn’t want to talk to me? Why not? Put her on!” Donghae demanded

“No! Kyuhyun I don’t want to-”

“I know, but he wants to talk to you”

“I have nothing to say to him”

“Look Yoona just because he broke your heart doesn’t mean that you should shut him away, talk to him! He’s your only other best friend other than me! Do it!”

“Hello?” Yoona’s voice said cautiously

“Yoong what did you mean by your last text? And also… What did Kyu mean by ‘I broke your heart’?” Donghae asked

“It’s nothing. It’s the past,” Yoona said

“What? Tell me! You are my best friend aren’t you? So tell me!” Donghae tried

“That’s right… I’m just your friend,” Yoona said bitterly before hanging up on him

-At Angel Café-

“Yoona why did you hang up?!” Kyuhyun stared at her

“He’s taken, I don’t need him,” Yoona sipped her drink

“Don’t hold a grudge against him Yoona, he’s a good guy. You know it!” Kyuhyun told her

“No, I don’t know anything. Well thank you for the coffee Kyuhyun but I must get back to my hotel room,” Yoona stood up to leave

“Dude I haven’t seen you in 4 years and now you are already leaving? No way, sit down,” Kyuhyun stopped her

“I’ll stay if you stop telling me to forgive Donghae,” Yoona raised an eyebrow

“He didn’t do anything wrong-”

“Bye,” Yoona left the shop without looking back at her other best friend

Yoona was walking back to her hotel which was past the Han river. She stopped and stared when she saw Donghae and Jessica sitting on the grass looking at the water. Well Donghae was looking at the water, Jessica was whining for something.

“Oppa where is my present?!” Jessica demanded

“Sorry I forgot to get you one…” Donghae mumbled

“What? Nothing for me at all?”

“I love you,” he kissed her

“I don’t want that!” she whined

Yoona bit her lip, she wanted to punch Jessica so badly. Didn’t she know how lucky she was to have Donghae say those words to her followed by a kiss?!

“I’m sorry, I’ll buy you something next time,” Donghae held her hand

“Are you suddenly poor or something? You always say next time but there never is a next time. You only ever give me kisses or hugs or things that don’t cost money!” Jessica pouted

“I’ll be back, I need to to go the bathroom…” Donghae sighed before standing up leaving the whining Jessica alone

Donghae walked towards the public restrooms when he saw Yoona standing there, looking at him. His eyes widened and he rushed over to hug his best friend who he hadn’t seen in 4 years. When he pulled away from her he saw she was crying.

“Why are you crying Yoongie?” he asked caringly as he wiped away her tears with his hand

Yoona saw his engagement ring sparkle and that made her cry harder.

“Shh, Yoongie… Don’t cry,” Donghae hugged her again

“Mate are you crazy?! Why on earth would you leave such a gorgeous girl?!” a passerby yelled at Donghae

“Honey don’t cry over him, if he doesn’t want you then it’s his loss,” another passerby yelled

If you were to look at the scene you would too think Donghae was breaking up with Yoona. A crying girl being hugged awkwardly by a boy who had an engagement ring on his finger, you too would think they were a couple breaking up.

“They think we are a couple…” Donghae gave a weak laugh

“I shouldn’t have to cry over you anymore,” Yoona mumbled

“Huh?”

“I shouldn’t have to feel the pain I do everyday…” Yoona slowly raised her head

“Yoona I don’t understand…”

Yoona looked at him with tearful eyes. She leaned forward and kissed him. She kissed him with all the love that she had for him… Donghae was shocked, he didn’t know how to react, the only thing he could do was keep his arms around her. When she felt him not kissing her back she pulled away.

“I love you oppa,” Yoona cried in his arms
